Systems Analyst with Essbase skills plus budgeting $75K

 New York City based Finance firm based in lower Manhattan. New position

Education: Bachelor of Science or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems.

Experience: Experience with Essbase and Hyperion Planning applications in budgeting, forecasting or related finance field a plus.

Extensive desktop applications experience specifically advanced Excel spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, Access, and VBA. 

Experience with SQL Server, SQL and\or Microsoft Analysis Services a plus.

Knowledge of system implementation and data conversion a plus.

Well developed problem-solving capabilities and strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

The person will

 

Assist in the development, implementation, testing and documentation of budget and forecasting processes within Hyperion Planning and Essbase. 

Serve as System Administrator for Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications including maintaining and updating security access and processes.

Validate data integrity by insuring that the appropriate application links are in place between Essbase and the Peoplesoft GL, HR, and other enterprise data sources.

Develop Planning templates using Hyperion Planning Web forms and Essbase Excel work sheet add-ins.

Support region controllers in the preparation of their plans and forecasts as follows a)Report Generation  b)Answer questions regarding assumptions  c)Assist with technical issues related to Planning software  d)Training.

Insure the integrity of budgets through review and analysis a)Correct application of plan assumptions b)Reasonableness of data c)Documentation of plan detail.

Review current systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of reporting.
