Job Description:	VP, Information Technology - White Plains, NY Job Type: Full-Time Location: White Plains/Westchester, NY       Responsibilities: This position will report into the CTO and initially has responsibility in the following areas: . IT Operations: which includes PC/server management (in both Windows & Unix environments) and all corporate productivity tools with over 600 deployed PCs in over 12 geographical locations. This also includes the management of all Voice operations at these locations; . Intranet Development: which facilitates the tracking of internal workflow and order/process management that is directly tied to service delivery, in addition to being the single repository for information sharing within the company; . Extranet Development: which forms the online interface with our customers and is an extension of our customer service, product development and sales initiatives; . Network Tools: including the enhancement of tools for the Network Management Center (NMC) with systems such as Remedy and Netcool for improved operational responsiveness and the management of proprietary applications developed at the company.; . Financial Systems: including the maintenance and enhancement of Great Plains for improved financial accountability and analysis; The individual will work to lead the multi-year effort to transform the IT organization in its 3 core focus areas: 1. IT Operations: ensuring continued service excellence and managing the growing data environment across diverse locations 2. ERP: leading the implementation and maintenance of SAP at the company. This includes all aspects of the planning & execution including change management and integrator management. 3. Network systems: this includes assessing tools used for management, engineering and performance measurement of the company's production networks and making buy vs build decisions relative to available applications. Telecom experience will be preferred. . The individual must comply with departmental and corporate internal controls and all internal controls processes; the individual will oversee the SOX testing of the IT function and ensure compliance is affirmed. . The individual must possess and employ the highest ethical and business standards and always conduct himself/herself with the greatest degree of professional integrity; . Other duties and responsibilities as required. Requirements: The successful candidate will also have the following profile: . 10+ years experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years in a management role; . Experience implementing SAP at a company with no prior ERP system deployment . Experience managing a geographically dispersed team of at least 20 people . Ability to gain the respect of technical personnel while retaining the ability to articulate and explain technical concepts to a broader audience . Computer Science/IT degree; . Telecom background is a plus; . Demonstrable success in managing system improvement projects. . While this role has a clear requirement of technical expertise in IT and system development, it also has an equivalent need for an individual who can effectively champion the need for system improvement, integration and deployment amongst the various internal groups. The ability to manage and drive this interaction with internal customers will be a key factor in the hiring decision.
