Description:    Capable of configuring and troubleshooting all network elements involved with 911 call routing. (SBC, ENUM, switches, SRP, selective router, etc.)
Expert in call flow designs for SS7, SIP signaling, device network registration and signaling (eDVA, eMTA)
Expert skills to design SS7 and IP networks.


Mandatory Skills*
• BS or MS in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or acceptable combination of equivalent post secondary education and experience will be considered

• 7 – 11 yrs in engineering (10 – 15 yrs overall).

• Has advanced industry technical knowledge (Cable / Telecom / Voice Telephony Engineering)

• Understanding of Regulatory compliance in their respective area of specialization (FCC, PUC etc)

• Participates in or aware of the standards and work done by the regulatory bodies in their areas of expertise - i.e. WICT, Cable Labs

• Has attained advanced industry-standard certifications in the area of specified engineering specialty"


Technical Skills Required

• Vendor Management Experience is preferred (Engr 4)


Job Roles/Responsibilities*
• Configuring and troubleshooting all network elements involved with 911 call routing.

• Design SS7 and IP networks. Able to perform high-level architecture design for future evolutions of the network.

• Act as technical advisor during new network device deployments

• Author process and engineering documentation, including white papers and patents

• Act as vendor manager to outside agencies, performing coordination of business impacts, new product releases, and lab testing coordination.

• Interface with Business Unit and Engineering teams

• Automate processes, create and deliver training to an internal or external audience. (i.e. conferences, seminars, etc.)

• Serve as team lead on multiple projects, often spanning different engineering disciplines within the organization"
