Description:    Ideal for someone who wants to leave consulting for one of the global consulting firms! 

Manage and provide technical guidance to testing engineers both onshore and offshore teams. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 
-Managing hardware and software requirements for testing for patches and new releases. 
-Researching new products and industry methodologies and facilitating the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. 
-Planning and directing quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitoring project status 
-Providing project sizing and capacity planning for releases. 
-Lead test strategies with partners and internal teams to resolve testing challenges and providing solutions to complex test problems. 
-Define and document overall procedures and best practices for testing methodologies. 
-Hiring staff and managing bandwidth for both US and offshore. 
-Reviewing the work of junior level staff to ensure adherence to department standards and testing effectiveness. 
-Providing leadership for projects. 
-Effectively manage resource schedules. 
-Writing performance reviews. 
-Managing effective defect tracking system (JIRA). 

Basic Qualifications: 
7+ years related-technology experience that includes 2+ years management and/or leadership experience. 

Minimum Qualifications: 
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts including mid level managers. 

10+ years of technical experience in software development life cycle. 
6+ years of technical experience in systems quality assurance and systems/application testing. 
Proven technical knowledge and experience with quality assurance methodologies, tools and testing strategies for performance testing, functional testing, automation and test data management. 
4+ years managing Quality Assurance teams of FTE s and consultants. 
Experience in ETL testing methodologies. 

Preferred Skills: 
Experience working with financial applications. 
Experience using Planview, Clear Quest, Quality Center or other testing related tools. 
Experience in working both onshore and offshore model. 
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related experience in IT related positions. 
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with and influence mid to senior level managers.
