Description:   

-This is a visual design role

 

-5+ years of interactive design experience

-Experience with large-scale content sites for entertainment/lifestyle/tv network brands

-A great portfolio of user-centered work that has been shipped and built. Samples depicting ideation and design process are a huge plus.

-Desktop and mobile web experience required. Native app design a plus.

-Expert-level knowledge of Adobe CS6 + working knowledge of CCS and HTML5

-Able to express design thinking and convey ideas to a non-design audience

-Experience with idea prototyping using a range of tools

-Experience with agile development and rapid iteration cycles a plus

 

Typical tasks:

-Support role to the Visual Design Director, with direct interfacing and collaboration with product, IXD, development, business leads and other visual designers.

-Develop and maintain a range of desktop and mobile tools for recipes and cooking, as well as video-centric food? and lifestyle entertainment.

-In collaboration with IXD, own the design process from beginning to completion, including but not limited to concepts, presentations, execution & QA.

-Develop and iterate product design solutions that are on-brand, elegant, simple and highly usable.

-Participate in test and product release planning, as needed.

-Keep digital brand style guide up-to-date

-Oversee and mentor junior designers.
