The Federal Software Group is seeking an experienced Software IT Architect with at least 8 years of experience designing SOA-based defense and intelligence applications for the US Federal Government. Applicants need prior experience with IBM Software products (DB2, WAS or Content Manager preferred). Experience with Competitive SW products would be an acceptable alternative. Applicant must be a US Citizen due to the Federal Clearance requirements. An Active TS Clearance is preferred but will consider candidates who are qualified & have the ability to acquire a clearance on a fast-track. Candidates must posses a background in development and application architecture. The ideal candidate would have a good knowlege of SOA, will have experience with J2EE, will have experience with IBM SW products, will have experience with US Federal Government projects (DoD a plus) and will have an excellent understanding of the FAR & US Federal Government IT Standards. A Service Oriented Architecture certification would be a plus. We are looking for candidates with all or some of the following skills and/or experience: J2EE, a Strong Knowledge of IBM or Competitive SW products, Federal Government Industry experience - DoD / Intel, Software Architecture, Project Management and Experience designing SOA Solutions. This Software IT Architect should reside in the Greater Washington DC area (DC, MD or VA). The successful candidate will work remotely with moderate (up to 30%) travel required. The salary will commensurate with experience.

Candidate Must Have :
* Must have experience designing SOA based applications for the US Federal Government
* Must have experience with DB2, WAS and Content Manager
* Must have current security clearances (TS/SCI with Lifestyle Poly)
* Must have experience with government or US Federal Government projects and experience working with WebSphere and DB2.
* Must active TS government clearance

Service Oriented Architecture certification is preferred. Must have excellent understanding of the FAR and US Federal Government IT Standards.
