RESPONSIBILITIES: The Records Management Manager will report to the Director of Internal Controls. This position will be responsible for developing and coordinating a comprehensive privacy and records management program. The Records Manager will be responsible for establishing programs and leading initiatives to reasonably ensure the firm complies with all SEC Books and Records rules including, but not limited to, requirements relating to electronic records. This position will coordinate with Compliance, Risk Management, and Legal departments, as well as, the Corporate Privacy Office to manage privacy and records management programs. Specific responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements and corporate policy; assisting in developing training for associates related to privacy and books and records requirements, consulting with business units, including Information Technology on records management requirements and managing a WORM (Write Once, Read Many) compliance storage and archival process. In addition, this position will coordinate with the Corporate privacy office to research or conduct investigations for potential privacy breaches.
REQUIREMENTS:Must have minimum of ten years of experience in financial services. Experience in Compliance or other risk related discipline is preferred. Thorough understanding of privacy and securities industry books and records regulations is required. Understanding of technology and electronic storage applications is preferred. Ability to collaborate with and influence others, initiate action, make difficult decisions, and accept challenging assignments. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to evaluate and solve problems from multiple perspectives. Excellent leadership skills, as well as, strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills. Masters degree in Business, Finance, or other related field is preferred. Ability to evaluate and solve problems from multiple perspectives. Preferred, Knowledge of sophisticated and or complex products, processes or functions. Advanced degree preferred. Advanced degree.
