Responsibilities:

•           Establish regular meetings and relationship with key US Product Managers to manage and maintain pipeline of product requirements for R&D and Data Management teams

•           Together with the Global Market Data Product Manager create an inventory of current requirements from the various application areas and business units to drive future R&D and Data Management efforts

•           Review budgets, year to date spending and remaining infrastructure upgrades with R&D teams and drive next steps

•           Engage and actively help drive high profile global project introducing a new market data vendor to our global infrastructure

•           Together with R&D and Data Management teams engage in story planning to estimate and develop medium and long term plans of deliverables

•           Support Global Market Data Product Manager on day to day and iteration to iteration work managing product priorities, requirements and deliveries for the R&D teams

 

Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills

What level of expertise is needed?   1 = Familiar With       3 = Working Knowledge of     5 = Expert

•           Ability to work independently and multi-task in a demanding, time-critical environment. (5)

•           Written and verbal Communication  and negotiation skills (5)

•           5+ years hands-on working experience with US Equity Market Data and usage in equities Research and Trading applications in the Financial Industry (5)

•           Understanding of US equities reference, daily pricing and tick (trades and quotes) data both real time and historical, analytic contact based on pricing and tick data (5)

•           Working knowledge of Productivity Tools (MS Office, Outlook) (5)

•           Experience working with and managing third party vendors, exchanges and related contracts (4)

•           Management of deliveries in short, medium and long term project plans with MS Project (4)

•           Ability to facilitate work requirements and deliveries through effective communication between business, R&D, Operations and data management teams (5)

•           Ability to work with and develop budgets (4)

•           Technical experience w/ multi-tier client/server, database and real time applications utilizing C++, Java and SQL on multiple platforms (4)

•           Understanding of Hardware, Software and Networking technologies and concepts (3)

•           Working experience with Agile Methodologies (i.e. XP, Scrum) (3)

•           Knowledge of domestic (USA) real time Market Data (5)

 

Other Desired Skills / Experience

•           Self motivated individual with the drive to grow and help shape the future of our Market Data Products

•           International Market Data experience

•           Prior Project Management or Product Management experience

•           Experience with Sybase or Vhayu database technologies

•           XP story and iteration planning

•           Experience with Reuters, Interactive Data/Comstock, Bloomberg, US or Intl exchanges or other data and related technology vendors

•           Scripting (Unix shell, Perl, VB)

•           Knowledge of value added analytics, computational/statistical methods to analyze and create analytics based historical and real time Market Data
