Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager for Patient Diagnostics is responsible for increasing market share and profitability of the Thermometry product portfolio. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and has significant involvement with strategy, product development, positioning and sales.
Key Accountabilities:
* Assist in the formulation and implementation of action plans to ensure on-plan sales, margin, and EBITA performance for assigned brands
* Identify new organic growth opportunities through line extension and integration of new technologies
* Maintain close collaboration with customers and field sales force and keep abreast of market research to ensure expertise on market-related issues
* Coach and develop direct reports in the group
* Collaborate with product development teams to ensure process is focused on customer needs and to minimize time-to-market
* Develop and manage pricing and promotional programs to maximize impact of sales efforts and to ensure focused brand positioning
* Foster relationships with key clinical individuals/organizations within the industry
* Maintain regular interaction with manufacturing plants and sourcing department to improve product quality, identify cost reductions, ensure forecast accuracy, and uncover consolidation initiatives

Additional Qualifications:
Education: Minimum B.S./B.A. Degree; MBA desirable
Work Experience:
3-5 years in a technical marketing role in the healthcare sector for a medical device company
1-2 years managerial experience
Travel:
Some travel, which may include weekends, is required in this position, primarily for the purposes of meeting customers and attending conventions, company sales meetings and plant reviews.
Candidate Must Have :
* 3-5 years marketing experience
* 1-2 years managerial experience
* Minimum B.S./B.A. Degree; MBA desirable
This person should be very experienced in vendor management and have the ability to work with multi-departmental teams.
