Data Analyst - (US-NJ-Jersey City)

Compensation: $45K - $55K / Year

· Provide SAS or other programming support to CIS team members. Write SQL queries or use SQL tools to access source data.

· Maintain analytics data base to support various analytical projects and CIS reporting needs.

· Analyze database contents. Develop, implement and maintain consistent processes for data quality control.

· Develop models to test and guard data quality for company client records.

· Create performance metrics to track and measure the effectiveness of campaign lists generated through the analytics desk. Make recommendations for future modeling and list generation.

· Work with IT and Operations to address data quality issues.

· Use Excel pivot tables to conduct quick analysis.

· Use Office tools (Power Point, etc.) to create, edit, and support presentations.

Qualifications
· Experience in one of the programming languages required (SAS, SPSS, C++, Quadstone, etc). Be willing and capable of learning a new data mining language.

· Experience in SQL programming or relational database tools such as BO or BRIO.

· Experience in multivariate analysis, decision tree, and non-parametric methods.

· Thorough understanding of basic statistical methods, in order to explain findings to a broader audience.

Personal Characteristics
Minimum 2 years of related work experience

Education
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, etc), a graduate degree preferred.
