Job Description:
· Responsible for the development and maintenance of a second-generation business line application used for investment management reporting
· Develops detailed system design and programming specifications on assigned projects. Supports the daily activity of the Business Areas by providing technical support for system issues
· Regularly meets with the IT project lead to review progress and problems related to the job.


Responsibilities/Duties:
· Will work with IT project lead to independently develop and implement the system

· Produces technical documentation and designs and tests systems and/or systems changes accurately to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability

· Provide post-implementation support and develop future, iterative system releases



Core Competencies

Experience developing and maintaining:

· CFM and CFC (Adobe flex – alternative)

· Strong database skills, experience with database design and SQL

· J2EE (Core skills)

· Java experience highly preferable.

· JavaScript and HTML

· Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Stored procedures (Oracle, Sybase)



Other Competencies:
· Experience with other reporting products (Crystal, Actuate, BIRT, Cognos, Microsoft Reporting Services, etc.).
· Knowledge of n-tier architecture concepts.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Demonstrates proficiency in systems analysis of business requirements.
· Uses solid business knowledge to develop rapid proactive solutions for significant business issues. Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices, and procedures of the department and business units
· Maintains a solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies
· Knowledge of best practices for user interface design.
· Experience with designing and implementing applications incorporating MVC design patterns.
· Knowledge of financial instruments, and fixed income asset management desired.
