| Description: | Looking for a person who is capable of moving to the VP Finance role in the next few years.
· Overall responsibility for the integrity of the company's financial statements, accounting records and compliance.
· Responsible for managing accounting team working across all functions including A/P, A/R, inventories, accounting and payroll.
· Responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reporting and data for consolidation at the divisional and corporate levels.
· Ensure that all transactions are properly classified and reported in the financial statements, in accordance with US GAAP and under the guidance of the parent company.
· Responsible for coordinating and reviewing the cost accounting and inventory processes for 2 manufacturing plants in Louisiana and Texas.
· Support budgeting and forecasting processes
· Assist in establishing new financial reporting packages, and quarterly/annual reporting and disclosure schedules to support the parent company’s required filings.
· Overall monitoring of the activities and goals of the group’s treasury, risk management, and control implementation.
· Participate in various corporate cross-functional teams
· Perform ad hoc analyses, as needed
· Position reports to the Divisional VP of Finance with a dotted line to the Corporate VP of Accounting
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years relevant experience.
· CPA certification
· Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
· Accounting management experience in a public company environment
· Extensive experience in manufacturing
· Strong systems skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of all MS Office applications
· Strong initiative, problems solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment
