The Roles

The role is an IT support and development role sitting on the Structured Funds desk and working very closely with the traders.

 

The successful candidate will sit on the trading desk and concentrate on supporting and enhancing the IT environment used by the traders. This will cover a range of tasks including:

• Maintain and enhance existing Excel spreadsheets
• Assist in creating spreadsheets for new trades.
• Review and improve existing processes for data-gathering and event management.
• Implement and enhance integration solutions between spreadsheets and strategic platforms for pricing and trade management.
• Assist in the implementation of strategic Front Office IT systems
• Collaborate with other IT teams to leverage common solutions across different desks

 

Required Skills

• Excellent education – probably including a degree in a numerate discipline
• Strong Excel/VBA skills – preferably obtained in a banking environment
• Good relational DB skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to organize tasks and work independently
• Experience working in a Front Office environment and dealing with traders
