Reponsibilities include coordination of EH&S programs and initiatives for the Avada Colorado facility, to assure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and corporate requirements. Maintains routine reporting to governmental and corporate EH&S offices as required. Works with management, to continuously improve EH&S performance to all standards, and to improve the processes to reduce business costs associated with EH&S compliance and through improvement opportunities. Provides day to day work instruction and technical development to an EH&S Administrative Assistant.
Actively participates in corporate EH&S meetings, conferences, etc. to assure that currency of knowledge is maintained on both corporate and legislative EH&S issues.
Candidate Must Have :
* B.S. in any degree program affiliated with EH&S
* Minimum 5 years experience directly affiliated with EH&S compliance and administration in manufacturing, industrial or construction.
* Have significant demonstrated competencies with Colorado & Federal safety and environmental regulatory requirements.
* Must be proficient with State & Federal DOT regulatory requirements, uniform/ international fire, building, and electrical codes and consensus standards & codes: NFPA, ANSI, ASTM & ASME.
* Certified Safety Professional, Industrial Hygienist or Hazardous Materials Manager.
