Product manager NYC

Major media company, headquartered in NYC, is seeking a product manager
with demonstrable success creating and managing monetized products for
advertising driven web sites.

This role reports to the Director of Product Management, and partners
with project managers and business analysts to create stand alone and
integrated products on the client's current and emerging web sites that
will enhance user interaction with the web site, and drive advertising
to the site.

This person must be an idea person who can comfortably communicate with
both team members and business users, sell the idea in the company and
interface with the ad sales team.

Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic
planning to tactical activities
* Specifying market requirements for current and future products by
conducting market research.
* Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily
Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market
requirements, product contract, and positioning.
* Developing and implementing a conception-to-market plan, working
with all departments to execute.
* Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.

REQUIREMENTS

* 3+ years of web marketing/product management experience.
* Knowledgeable in technology.
* Experience in the advertising industry a plus.

This person will either have a manager title at a large company, or
director at a small company.

Salary to 120K.

NOC engineer Whippany NJ

There are 2 positions in this group. They are: Tuesday- Saturday(Monday really at 12 midnight)and Monday (Sunday at midnight) Monday- Friday. Candidates MUST come from a NOC environment, MUST have heavy troubleshooting skills and MUST have a stable background. NO job hoppers. I filled 1 of these positions last month, they move quick for the right candidates.

 

 

Basic Function:

This position reports directly to the manager of the department.  The Telecom Manager leads a team of individuals within the organization to meet the specific business needs of the department.  The Manager provides direction and establishes processes to effectively meet the needs of the group while aligning with the direction of the Organization.  

 

Requirements:

Experience in managing vendors

Working knowledge of Microsoft Products

Strong writing and presentation skills

Ability to manage and meet project and operational requirements in a timely manner

Maintain and track budget expenses, maintenance contracts and change control within environment.

Experience with Remedy Application development/administration and/or other workflow applications.

Knowledge of Network Management systems and Network Performance tools.

Manage Operational staff providing network support of Global (Domestic and International locations), LAN, WAN and Voice Services.

Extremely strong in TCP/IP, OSPF, ATM, X.25, Voice over IP and other network protocols.

Ensuring network/s are secure, accessible and available at all times.

Qualification:  Required Background/Skills include: Five Years as a Network

Engineer, Firewall experience with PIX, VPN deployment, Intrusion Detection

LAN Architecture with Ethernet technologies, Nortel Networks Routers

(BCN\BLN) and MS Project. Candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on

experience implementing and troubleshooting Cisco routers, Cisco Catalyst

switches. Experience with Routing Protocols - OSPF, BGP. Must have excellent

verbal and written communication skills & strong analytical and problem

solving skills.  Experience in providing network support through

optimization of systems and protocols, successful troubleshooting, with

proven ability to manage multiple ,simultaneous customer cases, with timely

resolution of problems/issues. Ability and expertise to function effectively

on a standalone basis with minimal supervision Developed and maintained

detailed project plans  Experienced in implementing remote access solutions.

 Senior Application Developer - Automated Trading Algorithmic Development

This company is  a privately held NYSE/AMEX specialist firm. Their traders make markets in  equity and ETF listed products. They are now developing proprietary algorithmic market making platforms to interact with New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange systems as well other electronic markets.

Position Description:

This is an opportunity for an in the development and maintenance of real time high frequency trading applications. Individual will be working within a small team oriented technology group. The group works side by side with traders in developing algorithmic trading strategies and in addition develops real time surveillance.    

Technical skill requirements: 

  • 5 years experience in C/C++, developing multilayer object-oriented algorithms
  • Experience with FIX & CMS Protocol, Sockets and market data feeds and feed handlers
  • Experience with Windows platforms and Server Client architectur (.NET shop)
  • Experience developing system specifications

 Education

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering. Strong background in Mathematics
