Description:   

•  Manage and direct staff in support of database solutions

•  Manage project teams for the development of business solutions.

•  Develop innovative solutions for the most complex database related problems involving applications with the highest degree of customization and connections/integration with other existing applications, utilizing multiple tiers, across multiple platforms.

•  Experience leading Desktop support teams

•  Experience troubleshooting database platforms to include Oracle, DB2 and SQL, DB2 experience a plus.

•  Proven skills with deployment and support of database platforms.

•  Experience troubleshooting common database problems (index contention, storage hot spots and end user support)

 

Responsibilities

 

•  Will manage a team of 5 DBAs

•  Environment is Oracle, DB2 (DB2/400), SQLServer

•  Optimize and deliver cost-effective support of systems; define and manage to service level.

•  Direct and supervise resources by planning, leading, coordinating and participating in definition of business requirements, analysis and implementation of application enhancements and upgrades.

•  Lead support efforts to triage and liaison all major database problems with departmental support.

•  Direct analysis efforts of resources necessary to troubleshoot production database problems and provide innovative solutions.

Description:   

Join the IT-Loss Prevention team supporting  security, analytical and communication applications for safety and shrink mitigation measures.  Support existing systems & work with other  developers to guide  technical solutions through design and coding standards ensuring adherence to our standard Software Development Methodologies (SDM).

 

Address multiple technical issues for resolution. Work with Project Manager, Systems Analysts, business partners and Quality Assurance representative to troubleshoot issues, implement minor enhancements, upgrades and provide guidance on estimating development work.

 

Lead and assist implementation efforts - Work with cross-functional team members to recommend technical solutions to business issues and/or system issues. Make technical recommendations for more efficient trouble shooting and issue resolution.

 

Reviews code for other application developers’ output to enforce accepted programming standards and techniques.

 

Work with cross functional team members to develop system and software designs.

 

Experience:

5+years developing commercial grade applications with large scale deployments Strong experience in current software engineering and solution delivery methodologies
