Description:
• Manage and direct staff in support of database solutions
• Manage project teams for the development of business solutions.
• Develop innovative solutions for the most complex database related problems involving applications with the highest degree of customization and connections/integration with other existing applications, utilizing multiple tiers, across multiple platforms.
• Experience leading Desktop support teams
• Experience troubleshooting database platforms to include Oracle, DB2 and SQL, DB2 experience a plus.
• Proven skills with deployment and support of database platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting common database problems (index contention, storage hot spots and end user support)
Responsibilities
• Will manage a team of 5 DBAs
• Environment is Oracle, DB2 (DB2/400), SQLServer
• Optimize and deliver cost-effective support of systems; define and manage to service level.
• Direct and supervise resources by planning, leading, coordinating and participating in definition of business requirements, analysis and implementation of application enhancements and upgrades.
• Lead support efforts to triage and liaison all major database problems with departmental support.
• Direct analysis efforts of resources necessary to troubleshoot production database problems and provide innovative solutions.
