Mid-sized investment management company seeks a Business Systems Analyst to assist the Technology Manager with systems integration and technology support tasks. 

DESCRIPTION 
The Business Systems Analyst will assist the Technology Manager in the 
following: 
. Implementing enhancements to proprietary data warehouse and reporting system (Microsoft SQL platform) . Writing and optimizing SQL Stored Procedures for reporting and ETL routines . Designing visually pleasing Microsoft Reporting Services reports for internal and client reporting purposes . Integration between the data warehouse and a 3rd-party portfolio management system . Assisting portfolio analysts with ad-hoc SQL querying requests . Some general IT troubleshooting and support tasks . Potential ASP.Net web design work for intranet portal site 

Occasional long hours required. A collegial, professional and collaborative work environment. Potential to increase role as firm increases assets under management and investment offerings. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE 
. 2-3 years experience as a programmer, developer, business analyst or similar position . Ability to interface with non-technical employees to gather requirements and implement solutions . Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science preferable, but not required . Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL Server preferred, but must have SQL knowledge for this job) . Experience in or desire to learn about the investment management industry . Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Integration Services is a plus . Experience with web design and programming, especially ASP.Net is a plus 

Will pay no more than $65000 without financial services experience. Up to $75000 with financial services experience

Total comp projected at $250000 or better 

• Responsible for determination of monthly/quarterly NAV, management fees, expense payments/allocations and accrued incentive allocation. 
• Main responsibility for the valuation, trade settlement and collateral management functions. 
• Maintain policies and procedures and system of internal control. Spearhead the 2010 Section 404 attestation with assistance from outsourced internal audit firm. 
• Serve as main point of contact with respect to communication of financial information to investors and analysts. 
• Oversee accounting for the credit instruments invested in by the firm (interest calculations, premium/discount amortization/accretion, non-accrual status determinations, etc.). 
• Responsible for calculations of quarterly dividends to be paid (at least 90% of taxable income). 
• Oversee 1940 Act compliance for this registered investment company and related calculations (e.g., diversification tests). 
• Coordinate with the Chief Risk and Chief Compliance Officers in the performance of the risk management and compliance functions. 
• Oversee the production of investment portfolio metrics to be used for investor relations, portfolio management and risk management, etc.
