Sr. Manager (SME) Federal Cost Accounting Compliance

Description:    • Management and Oversight of Cost Accounting Analysis/Audit teams Provide management, guidance, coaching, and oversight of a team engaged in the completion of the schedules comprising the quarterly Forward Pricing Rate Variance Report and all other "what if" impact analysis. 
• Interaction with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) - This will include leading the team that is responding to audit inquiries supported by SAP or other system data to satisfy audit requests. 
• Program Management -Responsibilities leading defining technical requirements, coaching and overseeing the technical staff during development, systems processes, with confidential data requirements. • Governmental regulations - Provide leadership and guidance on complex governmental regulations such as Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and other applicable government regulations. 
• Program Management -Responsibilities include the ability to determine when to involve other teams in order to complete government requests. This will include at times management and coordination of multi-team projects, which requires constant monitoring and coordination of resources. 
• Status Monitoring and Reporting - Provide regular status reports to management regarding the progress of requests. Status is crucial to monitoring critical paths to completion. This will include being knowledgeable and responsible at any given time for outstanding requests, as well as adding and monitoring these requests into the government cost accounting tracking system.

Required Skills:

• Established team leader and manager with experience advising clients and presenting solutions. 
• US government experience (either through federal employment, military service, or consulting to federal agencies) 
• Expert level knowledge of government regulations, (FAR, DFAR, CAS, T&E, CAM) 
• Successful track record and experience in communicating and presenting to senior leadership levels in the organization 
• Demonstrated experience in making independent decisions and applying judgments that directly impact accuracy of outputs 
• Successful track record with strong analytical, project management and organizational skills 
• Past experience in working within a matrix environment and with teams that contribute to the success of your deliverables but may be managed by others 

Preferred Skills: 
• Ability to manage and motivate others 
• Knowledge of SAP 
• Knowledge of database applications (e.g., Access, SQL, and Oracle) 
• Relevant industry certification and/or active participation in industry groups and policy forums

Description:    Provide management and oversight of the Cost Accounting Analysis/Audit teams. Coach and oversee the team in the completion of the schedules required to be filed quarterly and annually. Detailed working knowledge of budget, indirect cost rate development and contract cost mechanics. 
The Senior Leader will address and communicate with senior level executives and multiple stakeholders, as well as, DCAA auditors. A successful Senior Leader will have deep cost accounting technical expertise within the DCAA Audit, T&E, indirect expense, FAR/DFAR and CAS for a large complex professional service practice with multiple lines of business. 

Responsibilities: 
• Management and oversight of Cost Accounting Analysis/Audit teams through guidance, coaching, of the team engaged in the completion of the schedules comprising the quarterly Forward Pricing Rate Variance Report and all other "what if" impact analysis. 
• Provides coaching and oversight of the Forward Pricing Rate Submission process, including management, guidance, coaching, and oversight of a team engaged in Forward Pricing Rate submission process. This includes oversight of budget, indirect cost rate development and contract cost mechanics. 
• Interacts with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) which includes responding to audit inquiries with necessary systems data provided by the team to satisfy audit requests. 
• Acts as a manager over programs, leading and directing staff around resource coordination of a cross functional team, schedule modifications, technical systems projects, and audit projects. This position interacts regularly with key leaders in the Deloitte federal practice and national finance organization and will include handling confidential data. 

Required Skills: 

15+ years minimum of relevant experience in government cost accounting experience with a progression of increased responsibilities and successful track record of leading teams. Experience in cost accounting areas include, but is not limited to:
