Description:    Mobile education platform with the mission to optimize learning founded by cognitive neuroscientists, engineers, & education industry executives. 

Minimum of five years development experience which can include college and internships with one year iPhone development experience and with big project, big team experience (not someone who has only developed iPhone applications on their own). They are looking for someone who has built scalable applications. 

Position can be located in midtown NYC, San Diego or if someone is great they will consider a virtual candidate. 

You must have worked on and supported a product that has *shipped*. 

Technologies: 
Cocoa/Cocoa Touch - You must be a skilled Objective-C Developer with UIKit or AppKit experience. 
SQLite - 
RESTful Web Services 
Version Control (they use Mercurial but do not require it) 
Ruby on Rails (a plus) 
Design sensibilities - You should be able to design usable and eye-pleasing user interface in Cocoa Touch. 

Habits 
You obsessively manage dependencies and separate concerns 
Experience using blocks, delegation,

Description:    · BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field with a minimum of five years related experience. 
· Deep understanding of Android platform architecture with focus on device management, security, scalability and efficiency 
· Native mobile application development experience, particularly with Android, preferably on tablet platform 
· Familiar with the mobile devices landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies 
· Pure Java Development Experience is must. 
· Experience with iOS, Windows 8 or other Mobile platform is plus. 
· Multi-device application development experience 
· Experience with multiple programming languages including Java, Ruby, HTML5/Javascript/CSS, and Objective-C etc. 
· Experienced in design and implementation of APIS using RESTful-style protocols 
· Experience with RDMBS (preferably MySQL) and No-SQL databases 
· Experienced in security, authorization and SSO protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenId. 
· Familiarity with Amazon cloud services (EC2, RDS etc.) 
· Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management 
· Experience with web, messaging, database and service side technologies 
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
· Experience with agile development methodologies 
· Experience with building both SaaS and on premise software solutions 
· BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field with a minimum of 10 years related experience. 

Responsible for creating and documenting high quality, secure, high volume, high performance, and highly available Mobile architectures for a tablet based education platform 
· Collaborate with product managers to translate product requirements into system level architecture and high-level designs that can be used across multiple solutions 
· Research, identify and evaluate technologies required to meet product development goals 
· Help create technology strategy, standards, development and coding practices 
· Work individually and collectively with the other architects to ensure standards, architectures are consistent and integrated across the product 
· Provide continuous support and guidance to developers to ensure high standards, efficiency, performance, data integrity, accuracy and security of applications. 
· Think creatively and big picture, yet know how to make pragmatic tradeoffs 
· Create an environment of technical innovation for the growth and success of the team
