This person will not likely come from Financial Services. The position is Java focused (70% Java, 30% other). The 70% Java will be 50% Hadoop & Map/Reduce (not required they know Hadoop but if they do not they have to be REALLY strong on server side Java as well as the 30% other). The 30% other is scripting (Python preferred but not required) and SQL DB work. 

It’s likely this person will be a quirky technologist. Any experience with online advertising or mobile devices will be a big plus. 

Candidates out of a SAAS or a Data Analytics environment are highly desirable.

implement front-end coding best practices for learning and custom publishing platforms. S/he will participate in development of a common set of Web 2.0 user interface standards and tools which will be shared across all media technology products and will have the opportunity to research and prototype new technologies to enhance the user interface and user experience. S/he will also collaborate on story boards, wire frames, and interface flow model documents using the Agile process. 

S/he should have 2-5 years experience as a User Interface (Front end) Developer, strong knowledge of HTML/XHMTL, CSS and JavaScript, and knowledge of table-less CSS2 positioning for 508 Compliancy 
Additional skills that will make a candidate successful: Agile methodology familiarity, understanding of cross-browser compliance version 5+ browsers in a Windows/Mac environment, experience working with PhotoShop for layouts and design modification, Flash, JSP and good oral and written communication skills. 

Heavy back end development in Javascript plus event bubbling, event pooling, event delegation, JQuery context, OOP, and Fluid design.
