Position requires individual experienced in advanced bridge design and construction techniques. Candidate should be capable of independently representing the Structures Task Leader in dealings with other disciplines and the clients. In coordination with the Structures Task Leader, position will also assist with engineering services during construction of major structures and respond to RFI's. Position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare high quality analysis, drawings and technical reports. 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or Master's with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Experience in design and construction techniques for rail structures is desirable. Experience with Western United States seismic design standards is highly desired. P.E. required, must have or be able to obtain Utah certification within 6 months. S.E. certification is a plus. 

Candidate Must Have :

Job Description 
The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic team environment responsible for the design, qualification, and certification of Engine System Control Software for gas turbine engines. The control software will be part of a system with a distributed architecture involving multiple electronic components. The candidate will also be involved in the analysis of the engine system operating requirements and the development of required control logic. 

The candidate should have successfully demonstrated analytical skills and the application of control theory to solve complex control system problems. Hands-on experience in the use of optimal control theory and stability robustness for multivariable, multi-rate systems with latencies is required. The candidate must have in-depth applied knowledge in multivariable control design and stability analysis for complex, high gain, closed loop and coupled digital systems. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work at the implementation level to resolve problems. Working knowledge of frequency response for multivariable and discrete time systems is required. Control software experience is desirable. Previous aerospace and military project experience preferred. 

Candidate Must Have :
15 years minimum experience. 
Advanced control systems problem solving experience. 
PH.D in Electrical Engineering, Aero Engineering or Mechanical Engineering 
Technical leadership skills

The Fellow’s role is to identify technology gaps and opportunities and create and lead research efforts focused on creating new technology options that will provide differentiation of products in aerospace, building, security and life safety, and power systems. Candidate Must Have :
MA/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred candidate will have PhD in one of these areas) 

12+ years experience post-graduation (or 8+ years with PhD) 

Expertise in one of more of the following: real-time embedded systems, data-mining, pattern recognition, machine learning, model-based prognostics, and intelligent decision support systems. Technical expertise in areas of research and business planning, automated decision-making under uncertainty, data mining, and computing architecture (hardware and software). 

Demonstrated success in proposal creation and attracting funding with US Government (e.g. AFOSR, NSF, ARO, ONR, DARPA, DoE) or other agencies 

Proven track record in leading research direction demonstrated by engagement within the research community, securing funding through research proposals, publication on peer-reviewed archival journals, and creation of patented inventions.
