System Test Integration engineer --NYC-- to $92000 plus bonus

System Test Integration Engineer.  This position is an integral part within our System Test Group for para-functional testing, including Integration, System, Performance, and Capacity testing for a trading platform.  The candidate must be driven to excellence with the ability to think creatively and to work independently.  The candidate should be accomplished in the development of complex test scripts, designing, developing and executing automated tests.  Further the candidate should be able to perform release builds into the test environment.  This positions requires frequent interaction with developers as well as other members of the project team from support staff to VP levels, therefore the candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Responsibilities to include:

  • Serve as test lead for System Test Group
  • Perform integration services for software and hardware releases

This position is located in Melville and will go to about 85K.  This person is involved in the implementation of the product as an in-house manager.  This person works with the client in terms of the Statement of work and them manages the resources, Field Engineer, implementation and support throughout the process.  This person should be technical enough to understand the process and the product. 

 

Candidates should have 5+ years in a Systems Administration Background including MS 2000/2003 OS

Strong candidates will have experience with implementation of web based enterprise systems.

Experience with IIS, multi-server environments and security is a big plus

Strong understanding of AD Structures, Domain Structures, Domain Configurations, Domain Trust and Group Policy is necessary.

 

PBX experience is a +, exposure to interfacing with Avaya or Nortel.

 

This candidate will work with Implementation PM’s and the Engineering teams.  They will know what the deliverables are, what the solutions are and how they will be executed.  They will act as support for the Field Services people implementing the product.

 

Candidates will be responsible for diagnosing, analyzing and troubleshoot system flow issues.  They will understand how it communicates between the layers

 

Experience with Business Objects Reporting is a plus.

Job Summary:  The Project Support Analyst will provide technical support to Implementation Engineers and Project Management group on all  product lines in the Americas region. The Project Support Analyst will strive to achieve timely closure of project implementation issues and customer acceptance.  He/she will provide technical direction and assistance to support Implementation and Integration Engineers while on-site deploying system solutions. The successful candidate must be customer focused, be able to work independently and have the ability to manage and resolve solutions to complex technical issues.

-Knowledge of IT Security issues (firewall, Microsoft security, IIS lockdown) required.

Must have basic knowledge of Databases (SQL Server 2000) and SQL commands.

-Knowledge of Telephone systems – PBX/ACD, CTI and VoIP is preferred.

Skills:

  • 3-4 years of experience managing mid to large size teams and large-scale database design and implementation initiatives.
  • An expert in MS SQL Server 2005, including SSIS, Analysis Services and Reporting Services.
  • 7+ years of database development experience and at least 4-5 years experience with MS SQL server database. Financial experience a plus.

Qualifications required:

  • 5 years experience in managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants and Supervisors
  • 7-10 years of fund accounting experience in either an Audit Firm, Hedge Fund, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge
  • Previous Financial Statement Preparation experience
  • Advanced knowledge in complex Derivatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics a must
  • CPA, CA or other professional designation a plus
  • Ability to travel 50% within the tri-state area
