Function: | Work with business users to gather requirements for Business Intelligence projects. Analyze and structure findings to be used by developers. Profile data to identify data quality issues using SQL and specialized tools. Develop plans for resolving data quality issues. Participate in design sessions. Develop test plans and test deliverables. Data analytics and report development. |
Essential Duties: | · Provide the necessary level of self-management and task control to keep all assigned projects on schedule. · Design, develop, maintain and document large business intelligence/data warehousing projects. · Perform preliminary project analysis and document findings in a Management Summary Report. · Conduct business area analysis, requirements definition, identify source data, define data quality, transformation, and summarization processes. · Interview end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance. · Work with developers to translate requirements into technical specifications. Helps identify and assess potential data sources. · Participate in the analysis and design: Star Schemas, operational data stores and master data repositories · Capture metadata · Prepare and execute test plans · Document test results · Document mapping rules for ETL development · Report development in BusinessObjects Enterprise using Web Intelligence & Crystal Reports · Develop SQL scripts to profile and test data · Profile data to identify data quality issues · Work from data models documented in Information Engineering or IDEF0 format · Support BI design & architecture activities · Develop test plans and conduct tests on the deliverables · Provide full support for the Bank’s business intelligence environment. Support includes, but is not limited to: problem resolution (business and non-business hours); user support; and system maintenance. · Support the Bank's application development process. · Assist project managers and end users in identifying and recommending automated solutions to business problems. · Monitor business use and performance of the data warehouse and provides feedback to data warehouse architects, developers, and database administrators. · Ensure the data warehouse meets service level requirements. · Support the Bank's data users by providing relevant training, consulting, and guidance. |

Key Relationships: Internal- | Regular contact and direct involvement with Development, Technical Support and End User staffs. Serves as a liaison between the end users and Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing project team. |
