Description: LONG TERM ASSIGNMENT. GET OUT OF THE COLD BEFORE THE WINTER! 

Knowledge of fixed income asset management principles and skills associated with domestic and international investment management process. Specifically knowledge of fixed income securities analytics required. Understands purposes, objectives, practices, and procedures of the department and business units within the fixed income environment. Maintains a solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies. 

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable to business units, make presentations to management and other personnel, and to conduct meetings and training sessions. Must have knowledge of SQL and the ability to use SQL to perform systems analysis and production support. 

Specific requirements include: 
§ 5+ years of Business System analyst experience working in the technology department 
§ 5+ years of Software development life cycle expertise. Knowledge of all phases of system development life cycle, rapid application development methodology required. 
§ 3-5 years of Knowledge of front office fixed income in a working environment 
§ Has detailed knowledge of asset management principles related to the domestic and international investment processes in a fixed income environment. 
§ Knowledge of or experience in the design, testing of financial or fixed income systems 
§ 3 years of SQL experience using Oracle 
§ Microsoft Windows and Office applications experience required. 
§ Client-server, 3 tier architecture, and GUI development concepts preferred.

Description:
The Project Manager provides management, direction and coordination for various projects and activities associated with the deployment, implementation and maintenance of the company proprietary software. Also, ensures compliance with project life cycle and project management principles, including timely communication with affected technical, sales and senior staff. 

Functions: 
•Manages assigned projects through successful completion. Guides, mentors and evaluates internal project team performance within project guidelines. 
•Evaluates team performance and provides feedback to various internal departments on challenges and successes of the assigned project. 
• Directs and performs follow up as necessary to complete projects and elicit customer satisfaction – follow-up must be prompt and within customer expectations. 
• Communication expectations include but are not limited to the following: sending meeting agendas, writing recaps to confirm client, updating timelines; escalating items as appropriate 
•Creates and maintains process, standards, and upgrade documentation. 
•Maintains and evaluates project plans and related documentation 
•Using Microsoft Project and other tools - creates timelines, agendas, and meeting recaps. 
Evaluates and reports project outcomes,. Reports project status, schedules, issues, resolutions and completions. 

Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or technical training equivalent, all others considered 
•4+ years project experience and PMP certification 
•Has working knowledge on Agile project management 
•Have worked before with software development 
•Demonstrated effective leadership skills. 
•Advanced written and oral communication skills. 
•Excellent analytical and project management skills. 
• Aggressively seeks to gain solid understanding of all company projects. 
•Willing to identify, own, and solve problems independently and as part of a team. Strives to become a self-directed, productive team member, serving as a positive agent of change. 
 
Financial Services industry experience preferred
