EXPERIENCE 
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in senior-level finance or accounting position 
· Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and strategic management in a similar industry required 

EDUCATION 
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field required Master's degree in same fields preferred 
· CPA or CMA certification preferred 

Description 
· Develop strategic and operational plans to achieve results and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives 
· Set goals for the work group, manage execution and measure results 
· Maintain accurate books and subsidiary ledgers and performing monthly/annual closing processes in a timely manner. 
· Prepare monthly reporting package 
· Select, manage, evaluate and coach staff 
· Oversee the application of accounting principles, practices and procedures 
· Manage business planning and forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control 
· Manage general and property accounting, cost accounting, and budgetary control 
· Generate accurate and timely budgets, forecasts and operational performance reports 
· Partner effectively with business unit management 
· Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting and promote the practice of continuous improvement 
· Prepare financial and management reports, present findings, and recommend courses of action 
· Oversee financial controls and ensure that compliance checklists are completed 
· Oversee asset management and work with other functional units to reduce assets through effective inventory control practices 
· Identify, document and report potentially fraudulent or unethical business practices

Description:    This role comprises two primary responsibilities, Global Marketing Segment Manager for one business, leading global portfolio management efforts, and Strategic Marketing leadership to the North America region. The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. 

The incumbent will: 
• Define global assigned market, product portfolio and product strategies, and product goals, KPI’s and resources. Collaborate with the senior MSM for NA, and lead execution of portfolio strategy within Region 
• Define core active ingredients, core products, core formulations, core brands for the assigned global market 
• Manage product portfolio assets (active ingredient, formulations, brands) to grow the short and long term assigned market profitability 
• Make recommendations on market portfolio, products, priorities and resource allocation to senior management, lead implementation and monitor execution by regions by leading the Global Market Platform 
• Analyze strategically the portfolio and guide the Innovation and sourcing strategies through the contribution to the Innovation Forum in order to develop the portfolio and to fill in potential gaps 
• Initiate and/or actively participate in negotiations with 3rd party companies with regard to cooperation and/ or distribution (supply arrangements) for 3rd party products, e.g. to complement and extend own portfolio 
• Challenge and consolidate regional portfolio initiatives into global ones, cross fertilizing the benefits of excellent concepts and using resources more efficiently through simplification 
• Support and champion the Marketing Excellence efforts for North America division globally and assure the identification and adoption of Marketing Best Practices 
• Ensure sustainability embedded in assigned global market strategy 
• Identify and Influence Global Key Opinion Leaders of the assigned global market 
• Actively support Marketing Excellence program implementation for moving to more end user needs focused organization 
• Establish and maintain a strong networking at regional and local level including the team members from global functions (Innovation, Formulation, Finance, Supply Chain, Communication, Legal) 
• Assure a close coordinated working relationship with relevant subdivision colleagues. 

The selected candidate is required to possess the following: 
• Broad management skills, a functionally broad technical and strategic marketing understanding, and ideally strong understanding of Professional Turf & Ornamental markets 
• Good understanding of a number of highly competitive markets, changing technology and innovation environments 
• The job holder will be experienced and competent in the management of significant P& L responsibility 
• B.S./B.A. with a minimum of 15 years of experience encompassing sales, marketing, project management and a proven track record in strategic marketing management 
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening skills) 
• Ability to communicate ideas/concepts and to convince all stake holders at a global level 
• Strong organization and planning skills 
• Good understanding of the processes of Research and Development and of project and process management 
• General understanding of public environment and government regulatory bodies, such as the EU and US EPA registration authorities 
• Understanding of the highly competitive world wide agrochemical non-crop markets related to their business 
• Computer literacy and able to select and utilize the necessary soft-ware programs to support decision making and business management 
• Ability to manage, coordinate, and integrate people, processes and organizational resources in a multi-cultural environment to achieve a common objective 
• Competent interpersonal skills to establish a motivated and focused team 
• Excellent persuasive and collaborative influencing skills to build effective relationships 
• Ability to identify tactical goals and then resources required to achieve goal, but at same time to find a balance between strong push and potential No-go decisions are key for success.
