• Work independently and with a team to create JavaScript and HTML/CSS markup and templates with a strong focus on clarity, maintainability, and cross-browser compatibility
• Work with designers, artists, engineers and testers to contribute to the user experience
• Participate in requirements gathering and functional specification activities, providing feedback on implementation feasibility as well as navigable prototypes/mockups
• Develop and lead the application of front-end web coding and design standards

Requirements of Front-End Web Developer:
• Four-year college degree
• At least four years as a front-end web developer, producing professional websites and/or web applications
• Demonstrated expertise in creating cross-browser user interfaces using HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML(plus using them together as AJAX)
• Strong working knowledge of open-source CMSs, such as Drupal and Joomla

Bonus Points:

This position requires up to 90% travel. This is an implementation role where candidates are on site at a client site for the 9-12 month implementation. Candidates need to be based out of NY (maybe some exception) but will be at clients in NY, NJ, Boston, Baltimore and Toronto.

Candidates must have strong front end J2EE backgrounds and should have JSP and Jscript experience. Most of the customization is front end development.

Candidates MUST have experience with BPM tools and how they map business processes.

Candidates MUST have strong RDBMS skills in Oracle/Sybase/Sql Server.

Implementation Specialists are responsible for the full project life cycle including best practices. They work through analysis, design, configuration and customization, testing, training and education and finally into production and support. Candidates who have working knowledge of Agile development are preferred.

Candidates should have an understanding of back office topics like trade operations, custody, cash management, reconciliation, trade match and exceptions etc.

Candidates who have worked at client sites on implementations are good candidates as well as candidates who have worked on the in house side with similar subject matter who are open to this type of work.

35 person company looking to add 2 Senior Java Developers to their technical staff. Both candidates need to be capable of a team lead and mentoring role. There are two specific roles.

Both of these roles are 100% hands-on positions

These roles focus on Product Development. This person focuses on the technology as a means to an end. This person will be responsible for the core products and how the users use it. Candidates need to be able to explain how they would develop new features in the product and also understand what the architect on the project will need. They look for product developers, people with strong product experience.



Required Qualifications
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
· 8+ years experience developing commercial software products, including a minimum of 3 years in Java/J2EE.
· 4 years of experience in object-oriented analysis and design
· 3 year experience with Java-based Web application servers
· 2 year experience with RDBMS and SQL; Oracle a plus
· Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and industry best practices.
· Self-driven to produce quality results on time
· Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications
· Experience with common Internet technologies such as XML, Web servers- Application servers (Weblogic, moving to Jboss), security, and various networking protocols.
· Experience with object persistence frameworks (EJBs, Hibernate, etc.)
· Experience with core web technologies such as HTTP, SOAP, Struts, Spring, .NET, etc.
· Experience launching new products
· Experience working in a small company environment
· Experience in the advertising industry a plus
