Description: MUST HAVE A COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE WITH (PREFERABLY) 2 OO LANGUAGES 

THEY DO NOT WANT SOMEONE FROM A LARGE BANK; THEIR STRONG PREFERENCE IS FOR SOMEONE FROM A SOFTWARE DEVLOPMENT FIRM 

Responsibilities: 
· Must be able to code 'hands-on' while designing solutions based on deep technical knowledge of scalable web and database architectures 
· Lead an agile team while implementing engineering best-practices 
· Perform as a leader in the organization in your chosen "centers of expertise" where you will be expected to become a domain-expert and division resource 
· Participate in a team of 9 architects to both teach and learn architectural concepts 
· Work with product owners and possibly high-end customers to translate customer business value into architectural innovation 
· Set high-level design objectives 
· Work with other divisions inside Wireless Generation to optimize the architecture of the company's suite of products 
· Review and critique software designs proposed by senior developers 
· Write technical documentation and present architecture to others 
· Participate in the implementation of critical code pieces 

Requirements for Software Architect: 
· BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent, followed by 7 or more years of professional software development experience 
· 5+ years of experience with server-side technologies and major application servers 
· Extremely strong CS fundamentals and analytical abilities 
· Expertise in Java as well as Object Oriented Design 
· Taste for simplicity , elegance in technical design and a willingness or passion to learn new technology such as Scala, NoSQL, Hadoop, Clojure, RESTful or JSON 
· Experience leading small teams, establishing development practices, and mentoring individuals 
· Strong data modeling skills, as well as real-world experience with commercial RDMBS (SQL/Maria DB) 
· Strong plusses would be use of Open Source libraries and tools (not just vendor tools), MongoDB or other object oriented systems, Data Warehousing and ETL domain knowledge
