Description:    Senior Python Developer to work on a highly visible Regulatory project. The candidate should be proficient in Python and should have experience developing customized applications using Python connecting to Relational Databases. Experience with process automation using Python scripting will be a plus. 

Job Description: 
- Provide support and enhancements for the multi-tiered application used for computing Comprehensive Risk Measure (CRM) and Incremental Risk Charge (IRC) for the Credit, Structured Credit, Public Finance, Mortgage Derivatives and Distressed businesses 
- Understand the inputs and outputs of the computation runs and dependencies between various steps and application components aiming to optimize job runs end-to-end 
- Design and implement automation steps to minimize user intervention between run steps, thus reducing both operational risk and E2E run times 
- Ensure that all weekly runs are completed on time and data is provided to downstream consumers in Market Risk and Enterprise Capital Management. 
- Ensure that portfolios and other key inputs are refreshed before the weekly runs 
- Ensure that data validation steps are completed and issues are resolved before the 100K runs 

Responsibilities include support, enhancement and maintenance of the processes required for a critical regulatory reporting project, mandated by Federal Reserve. This is a highly visible project, as the numbers reported have a direct impact on the Bank’s capital reserve requirements. Background on this project is below: 

Basel 2.5 requires the computation of a Comprehensive Risk Measure (CRM) and Incremental Risk Charge (IRC). A Monte Carlo simulation approach is used to calculate the CRM / IRC values at the 99.9% confidence level, over a one year horizon. All trades are valued for each one of the simulated market data paths (scenarios). Once these valuations (i.e. mark-to-market (MTMs)) are computed, the portfolio level MTMs for each path (scenario) can be sorted, so that the portfolio MTM with only .1% of the valuations worse (less) than it can be selected as the CRM / IRC number.

Description:    will look across the industry landscape and make recommendations about specific tooling and products. The candidate will drive configuration of that tooling and/or products to maximize the usage of JRIA application metric data in both understanding, optimizing and improving the effectiveness of the application portfolio. The candidate will be tasked to act upon these recommendations producing detailed reports, recommendations and summaries. 

The ideal candidate will establish a center of excellence metric practice to include data collection, identification of key metrics, standardized reporting and summary dashboards for executive decision making. This candidate should be a forward looking, strategic thinker, able to set direction and work cross platform (Windows, Linux and Unix). Must have a deep understanding of web metrics and methodologies for collecting such metrics. Strong background in using metrics to drive testing and improve applications, transactions flows and user interaction. 

Conducts trend analysis on metrics to determine if hidden problems exist within IT services or components. Accurately presents data to support improvement in processes and procedures. Produces performance based metrics derived from JRIA key recommended measurements. Collects, analyzes, and documents management requirements. Researches data sources for the statistical data or creates new sources for data collection. Generates and validates goals and objectives for center of excellence. Generates monthly and quarterly reports detailing progress toward meeting goals and objectives of JRIA and current state of metrics. Application by application metrics report outlining all key metrics for a specific application on a trend format. 

Must have a minimum of 10+ years working in a large scale enterprise real time(online) system, prefer web based or financial environment (i.e. PCI) in a problem solving, design or development leadership role. Architectural background required. Must be well versed in all available metric technologies (across the network, virtualization, servers, applications and database) as well middleware and application containers (MQ, WMB and WAS). Ability to use modern big data analytics tools, extract critical information and formulate strategy to deploy corrective solutions. As the need arises make recommendations on specific tooling to close any gaps in key metrics collection. Ability to take complex subject matter and communicate that matter in a business context to senior executives and managers. 

Self-Starter, ability to set direction and act on that direction. 
Databases: Oracle, SQL 
MS Office PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Excel above average presentation skills both verbal and written. 
Background in analytics tools such as Web trends or similar products. 
Strong ability to take complex data and summarize in a management format but capable of providing the backing details as needed. 

International travel to Ireland or the UK (twice a year).
