The QA Manager is responsible for leading the QA group in support of the software development lifecycle process, change management, testing / QA environments and production releases. The QA Manager will be accountable for QA practices, testing procedures, meeting IT deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities/Duties:
§ Manage and oversee QA and Integration Testing Environments
§ Establish procedures and QA methodologies
§ Establish quality standards / practices to be implemented
§ Recruit, train and oversee team members in QA methods and practices Manage software code control, testing processes and software deployment.
§ Develop and integrate QA controls with "Change Management" process and procedures.
§ Interface closely with development and operational groups in support of software and production releases.
§ Manage QA tools, like Quality Center and QuickTest pro.
§ Coordinate and execute QA testing, create test plans, scripts, bug tracking, etc.

Competencies:
§ 5-years+ Software Quality Assurance experience, including 2 years managing a QA team.
§ Experience testing Java web applications, Java Swing applications, Web Services and dot Net applications.
§ Proficiency in HP Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, SharePoint, etc.
§ Experience creating test cases (unit, GUI, UAT and stress), scripts, utilizing automated tools, including defect tracking and source code control (CVS).
§ Formal software development life-cycle experience.
§ Experience with SAS 70/SOX audits.
§ Knowledge in scripting, perl, Sybase stored procedures.
§ Must have financial services experience Financial (fixed-income) experience beneficial

Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements):
Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Must be a self starter
Willing to travel

The primary focus of this role is to provide production support including detecting issues, issuing tickets, ensuring root cause analysis and overseeing tickets to closure. 2. Knowledge of monitoring software such as Exchange, Veritas and Tivoli are highly desirable
3. Knowledge of operating systems including Windows 2003, Solaris is highly desirable.
4. Knowledge of Remedy and root cause analysis
5. Hardware knowledge specifically Wintel and Sun systems knowledge desirable.
6. Knowledge of high availability and failover configurations.
7. Experience with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
8. Knowledge of encryption algorithms such as FIPS 140-2 and Private Key/Public Key required.
9. Strong experience with Source Code Version Control as well as Standard Change Control/Implementation protocols is mandatory.
10. Project Management skill sets are highly desirable, including use of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft PowerPoint.
