        Description:    The senior JEE Developer will be responsible for application development and support of bank’s global web-based Cash Management System (CMS). The candidate should be strong in object oriented design, design patterns, and industry best practices with experience of applying them to solve significant real life software problems. The candidate will also be responsible for creating documentation for the processes that they develop as well as updating documentation for processes that they are changing and/or enhancing. This position will be a key member of JRIA's Java Development team. 
Position Responsibilities 
Responsible for designing, developing and supporting Java/J2EE web based projects. 
Design, code and unit test JEE base applications. 
Working with globally distributed environments 
Develop interfaces using JEE technologies to other internal / external systems. 
Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery. 
Collaborates with project team members to define and design scope for each project 
Ensure system capacity, performance and 24x7 availability. 
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support. 
Mentor and train junior developers in the team 
Keep up to date with new technology development and implementation 
Find ways to improve the design of the existing programs and optimize performance 
Provide various adhoc reports for business users 
Participate in code promotion activities 

EXPERIENCE: 8+ Years of experience in Java/JEE technology 
MUST have experience working on enterprise level applications in financial / banking domain 
Expert-level knowledge of Java/Web technologies such as Servlets, JSP, HTML, Struts 
Strong experience developing scalable enterprise level J2EE web applications, preferably on Websphere Application Server;. 
Knowledge of frameworks such as JPA, Hibernate and Spring. 
Knowledge of messaging middleware IBM MQ 
Ability to work on complex projects with globally distributed teams and tight timeline. 
Proficient with database design, SQL and stored procedures; Oracle experience preferred. 
Experience undertaking software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis and software review. 
Good verbal and written communication skills. 
Experience administering and managing Atlassian tools is a plus.

Works with Claim Leads to prepare action plans for claims examiners to address technical development needs. Coordinates with Claim Leads to coach and mentor examiners. 

Recommends and provides education, training and mentoring related to claim management. Provides follow up to monitor progress and outcomes. Conducts large loss and catastrophic claim meetings to review, advise and develop plans of action, review reserve adequacy and to recommend resources needed to address key claim issues. Individual assignments including but not limited to reinsurance reporting, claims center training and vocational rehabilitation contract management. Review of forms, instructional memos, guidelines and other claim related publications and communications to ensure accuracy. 

Qualifications: 
Requires bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of workers’ compensation indemnity work experience; or 3 years as MSF CEIII; or High School or GED and 4 years of insurance experience in a workers’ compensation setting plus 8 years workers’ compensation indemnity work experience. Certifications relevant for claim professionals preferred.
