MUST LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY 

Extensive experience in the management of multiple Windows servers and Network equipment in a multi-tiered environment 

The candidate will support the Automated Personnel System, Payroll Management System and Pension Payroll System. S/he will work with the cross system application and integration teams on tactical and strategic projects in addition to handling the agencies LAN and numerous Enterprise applications which reside on a Web platform attached to a Cisco infrastructure. Other responsibilities include: Managing day-to-day operations including issue resolution, resource utilization and task schedule management; Providing leadership to the Network/Windows team to best meet the commitments and the project target dates; Supporting backup, recovery, performance and tuning, problem determination and resolution. 



Requirements 

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of experience as described in " progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience using mainframe, mini- or micro-computer technology in computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, data base administration, or planning of data processing, at least 18 months of this experience must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity in the areas of computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, data base administration, or planning of data processing or in the supervision of staff performing these duties 

Preferred skills include: 4+ years managing a Network/Windows team responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the standard operating procedures; 3+ years solid experience and understanding of Windows 2003 Operating Systems; 3+ years knowledge and solid working experience in Cisco network design and equipment; 3+ years managing installations and upgrades; Excellent troubleshooting and project management skills; Strong understanding of monitoring and capacity planning tools; Hands on experience as well as strong managerial skills; Self motivated and willing to work long hours and weekends, if required.
