The Sales Solution Architect Director leads the Solution Design process for each opportunity and provides active sales cycle support to CBEs and VP sale/ SDs in their growth efforts. You can work remotely from home and travel (25 to 50% required travel). Lead 4-6 Solution Architects over multiple accounts. This position requires strong OSS/BSS SW experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Sales Support
1. Develop & deliver customer focused presentations and demonstrations of solution-set (products and services) which are the best fit to SPs challenges & expectations & needs.
2. Design, verify and present solutions, including advanced product concepts, future directions and complementary products/solutions where appropriate while being assisted by the Amdocs related PBU's.
3. Assist in the requirements definition & formulation of any customer proof of concept projects.
4. Provide guidance to the PBU SEs and the Delivery /CC experts in order to ensure the right solution for each opportunity.
5. Work with PBU sales engineering to build use cases for prototypes, proofs of concepts, and candidate architectures that demonstrate the applicability of the Amdocs portfolio to solving a variety of business problems.
6. Work with a business owner (Product Mgmt, CBEs) and provide feedback to Product and Product Development teams on the usability and functionality needs of the Amdocs Portfolio set of products.
Solution Design
Lead the process for each opportunity
- 7+ years of experience in communications industry.
- 3+ year systems integration / software architecture as part of overall at least 10 years experience of software design, development and deployment.
- Proven experience of requirements analysis, project planning, solution design, software design, development and deployment.
- Customer focussed, sales processes knowledge understanding.
- Excellent presentation/ pre-sales skills.
- Action-oriented. Possess a strong bias for action; takes it personally when an issue is unresolved.
- Ability/initiative to define and evolve processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Adaptable, able to acquire technical and business skills needed to integrate with and satisfy our diverse clients rapidly.
- Confident and polished with excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to make a client feel confident in our ability to get job done.
- Accessibility during off-hours due to time zone differences.
- Knowledge of Telco and/or Broadband market strongly desired.
- Knowledge of 2 of CRM, BSS and OSS, Billing, Resource Management and Digital Advertising/Commerce strongly desired.
- Experience of working with Tier-1 NA Communication or Broadband companies is an advantage (e.g. ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile, Rogers, Comcast, Vodafone).
