| Description: | The firm is looking for individuals who enjoy working on an agile SaaS app looking to disrupt an industry. The team is located in Midtown, NYC. Some of the major technologies we use: ExtJS, Sass, Ruby on Rails, HAML, Postgres, Redis, Puppet, AWS.
The EXT JS Developer is a key member of the development team. Will be responsible for JavaScript-based UI/UX development and design. Some of the new features we will be implementing that you may work on are: social network style features like profiles and network searching, marketing metrics dashboard like graphs showing user adoption and activity, user behavior tracking to log users interaction on the front-end, adding front-end unit/integration tests.
Skills & Requirements
Responsibilities:
-Hands on prototyping and development of JavaScript user interface using ExtJS MVC
-Customizing ExtJS themes and/or CSS for a branded look and feel
-Integrating third party libraries to augment those lacking or inefficient in ExtJS
-Connecting MVC components to backend to retrieve as well as supply changed data
-Full cycle UI Development from prototyping to unit testing and maintenance
Qualifications:
Solid experience with Javascript UI Development (HTML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript) required.
ExtJS required
Experience with REST and JSON
Ability to quickly and independently pick up new technologies and frameworks and produce prototypes
Working with a Ruby on Rails Backend is a plus.
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and technical decisions
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a sense of humor
