Responsible for credit examination of various business units in the Americas Division, to assess credit quality and credit administration of such units. Evaluate the depth and adequacy of the units' credit analysis, adherence with the bank's policies and procedures and report such findings to management of Credit Review and senior management of the bank. On occasion, head examination teams and supervise the review process involving multiple team members. Perform certain portfolio management functions. 

EXPERIENCE: Candidate with strong credit analytical skills with a minimum of 7-8 years experience in a major US, foreign or regional bank. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as tact and diplomacy in dealing with senior management. 
SKILLS: Broad credit experience in a variety of industries, lending disciplines and credit structures. Good computer skills. Ability to conduct domestic and foreign travel for 1-2 week assignments 1-2 times per year. Overtime as needed.

As Sr. Reinsurance Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation, payment and billing of treaty reinsurance cessions (of moderate to high complexity) based upon the reinsurance contracts. Maintain assigned treaty files/folder including contract terms, audit trails of reinsurance settlements and maintain relevant information about the treaty. Mentor/supervise less experienced associates. Monthly reconciliation of General Ledger and subledger accounts. Schedule F preparation and analysis of actual reinsurance payments made vs. planned/forecasted payments. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities: 

Review reinsurance data set and prepares premium bordereaux, loss bordereaux and summary cession statement. Handle any issues that may arise. 
Reconcile tracking system accounts to general ledger for accuracy of data. 
Prepare reconciliation of statements and accounts to system subledger accounts to ensure accuracy. 
Contact claims and underwriting staff on all issues requiring their intervention; i.e. coding errors. Work with Global Reinsurance on inquiries related to global treaties. 
Maintain the MS Access databases for reinsurance. 
Prepare check requisitions or wire transfer requests to settle accounts with brokers and/or reinsurers. 
Provide the cash application unit with clear instructions on how to allocate payments being made or receipts being requested. 
Recommend improvements to reporting and collections processes 
Act as lead person/supervisor in the unit by providing technical direction to less experienced associates. 
Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting (i.e. Rec Pay, Plan/Forecast, and Schedule F). 
Perform on special projects as needed. 

Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent training. 
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the property casualty insurance industry. 
Advanced knowledge of the reinsurance industry. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills. 
Strong analytical skills.

C# & .NET programming skills are CRITICAL 

Heavy coding effort to develop the application as well as the integrations into various data sources and other applications
