The person applying for the role of Hosting System Administrator is expected to install, configure, tune, monitor and troubleshoot all production, staging and training application and web servers as well as the applications running on them.

Job Duties include:

· Management of all hosted web applications

· Monitoring and optimizing the performance of these applications

· Working with the other system and database administrators in the hosting group and with their customers in maintaining the hosted applications

· Researching, evaluating, installing, configuring new tools and processes to facilitate all aspects of hosting

· Application technical installation, configuration, support, upgrades as necessary

· Application and Web Server installation, configuration and support

· Recovery of the hosted applications in the event of a hardware or software failure

· Troubleshooting and correcting application problems where appropriate

· Ensure monitoring and reporting on all hosted servers (may include memory, disk space, log file analysis, cleanup, etc)

· Maintaining system security policy, including firewalls, host and client access, file permissions, user accounts, etc.

· Batch loading of data into official production ORACLE tables from approved data files, etc. given by development staff of vendors of applications

· Ensuring the data loaded into ORACLE tables is as accurate as the data source

· Exporting data out of the database on demand by customer



Required Qualifications:

· 2+ years Unix system administration and J2EE application experience

· Experience with Oracle 9i, WebLogic 8.1, Apache, Solaris, Linux, Windows

· Experience with Linux, Solaris shell scripting

· Performance analysis and tuning

· Exposure to data import, export, SQL scripting

· Exposure to Oracle 10gAS a plus

· Strong problem solving skills

· Works effectively with a minimum of direction

· Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Willingness and ability to handle firecall duties

· US Citizenship is required

· Must be able to qualify for/obtain a US government clearance

Quality Assurance Engineer with extensive server-side testing and automation experience. The individual will be responsible for producing significant and measurable results in QA efficiency. The QA team is small and agile; therefore, this position will consist of approximately 25% planning and documentation, 30% automation and performance testing and 45% manual testing initially.

Position Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
· Five or more years of software testing in a sophisticated development environment
· Three or more years of hands-on experience in developing an automation framework
· Demonstrate expertise in building automation and performance testing suites using both open source and enterprise class technologies
· Solid scripting and programming skills (with emphasis on bash, Perl or python, Java, SQL and VBScript)

· Strong understanding of Quality Assurance fundamentals, strategies and technologies
· Solid understanding of software architecture technologies. (e.g. HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, Web Services, SOA, SOAP, Unix/Linux knowledge)
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Capability to multi-task across several projects
· Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Position Description

· Develop thorough understanding of the application(s) and take ownership of testing various components of the product.
· Design, document and execute test plans, cases and scripts.
· Create and execute readable, maintainable, and high performance automation scripts.
· Provide training to other employees on testing best automation practices.
· Continually work to reduce test cycle time, while increasing test coverage.
· Contribute to the overall optimization of the test process.
· Maintains the quality and overall integrity of the test data.
· Assess and enhance the load/performance testing framework.
· Recommend/develop new testing tools.
· Conduct root cause analysis of all defects reported during project or product testing
