Focus on several key programs within Research Technology. The first platform is an Authoring & Workflow Tool, which is the core authoring tool used by Global Research to publish investment research. In addition, the Development Manager will be accountable for driving an Intellectual Content Protection (ICP) program. This initiative is focused on implementing ways we can protect our content from misappropriation. The final program the candidate would be accountable for are the Compliance-related applications. For this program, the Development Manager will help define and execute on the strategic direction for the Compliance-related applications. 

The Development Manager must: 
§ Possess 12-15 years of professional experience within the financial services industry, with most of this time focused on the analysis, design, development, testing and production support of Web-based, finance-oriented applications. A bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or related field is highly desirable. 
§ Possess strong "Hands-On" development skills using .NET technologies, SQL Server, XML, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and Web Services technologies. 
§ Possess strong Application and Design experience using UML. In-depth experience and expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns, Application Frameworks (AJAX, MVC etc.), implementing solutions based on Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) principles. 
§ Strong knowledge of database modeling principles, techniques and best practices. 
§ Experience in developing project plans, requirements, design documents, and test plan 
§ Able to independently architect solutions, lead code reviews and ensure quality throughout the life of each project. 
§ Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, analytical and organizational skills. 
§ Possess 3-5 years of experience managing development and support teams spanning multiple continents and time zones. Experience with offshore development centers (ODCs) is essential. 
§ Aptly manage day-to-day interactions and relationships with a diverse group of colleagues. 
§ Put people at ease when necessary and instill a high degree of trust quickly and genuinely.
