Wealth Management practitioners are client facing roles working with the top 50 Wealth Management firms in the US and advise clients on a variety of business issues that help identify, assess, manage, measure and transform the organization's performance and capabilities. They use industry experience, business process skills, organizational and technology capabilities and knowledge across several of the following focus areas:
All Wealth Management professionals participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, client relationship building and management, mentorship, training and development of more junior members of the practice.
To qualify, you must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
a minimum of 3+ years of experience working at a professional services firm, financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company experience working in a wealth management firm, private bank, investment management firm, capital markets firm, or as a consultant in one of these companies demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team through all phases of the initiative life cycle strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the Wealth Management area
ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%-70%
Wealth experience including:
Investment products (all asset classes)
Product development
Advisory model and advisor support
Financial planning and advice
Retirement planning/trust services
Development of multi-phase roadmaps and/or operating models
Regulatory, compliance and risk management
Project lifecycle experience with:
Business Requirements
Business and technology architecture design
Business and IT process reengineering
Program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)
System selection and implementation support
Data mapping and conversion
Proof of concept
Quality assurance and testing
Previous project experiences in:
Implementing front office wealth management advisory platforms
Implementing financial and retirement planning platforms
Implementing operational risk technology in a wealth management environment
Evaluating and selecting a broad spectrum of wealth management point solutions across multiple client segments
Architecting complex and comprehensive wealth management platforms with multiple software solutions
Requirements and implementation in performance measurement client data, and client reporting
Application/Package experience in any of the following:
Financial Advisor Workstations (i.e., Thomson, SunGard, Odyssey, etc)
Performance Measurement (i.e., Eagle, DST, Investment Scorecard, Informa)
Back Office systems (i.e Beta Thompson, Broadridge/ADP, National Financial and Sungard)

To qualify, candidates must have:
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field (MBA or MS degree preferred)
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience working at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company. We will consider candidates with four (4) years of work experience if they possess an advanced degree.
• Experience working in a wealth management/retail brokerage, broker/dealer, registered investment advisor, and/or private banking firm/company or as a Management Consultant in one of these companies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team of technology advisors through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture, design, development, implementation, conversion and testing
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills
• Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%-70%
• Experience in the following areas:
o Target operating model strategy and application system design
o High level business requirements
o System selection and Proof of concept
o Definition of detailed business and functional requirements
o Definition of technical architecture requirements: application and data
o Development support and management
o Conversion strategy and execution (data requirements, mapping, reconciliation, etc)
o Testing strategy and execution (application, integration, UAT/QA, parallel, and business readiness, etc)
o Implementation and post-rollout support (training, transition, etc)
o Business and IT process reengineering
o Program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)
• Previous Project experiences in:
o Target operating model and strategic roadmap/planning
o Package implementation and integration
o Custom development and integration
o Complex Transformation management and planning (Mergers and Acquisitions)
• Previous Application/Package experience in any of the following:
o Siebel/Salesforce.com
o Thompson Beta
o Sungard
o Odyssey
o Charles River
o Broadridge ADP
o SEI Trust 3000/GWM
o Vestmark
o Checkfree APL
o Eagle Star/Pace
The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies. It is essential that the successful candidate possess a deep knowledge of technical architecture design and have a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in financial systems architecture.
