Description: | The Engineering group is responsible for source code governance, build systems, and the global software release cycle. We are looking for an experienced Build Architect and developer to design, implement, and support large-scale build and validation engines, and design new infrastructure for next-generation software development lifecycle tools and processes. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience - 5+ years development experience with high-level scripted languages, especially Perl (including object oriented Perl, module design, Perl XS, and DBI). - Experience with Python or other high-level languages a plus - Strong understanding of general principles of the design and architecture of build processes and SDLC. Knowledge of specific build systems or tools, such as gmake or make file design, is useful but not sufficient - Strong understanding of compilers and linkers, including identification of compiler and linker defects, and linker algorithms. Experience with other build tools, as well as static analysis and debugging tools, is a plus - Strong understanding of binary formats such as ELF or XCOFF - Experience with C and C++ languages.
