Trading Operations Specialist

Description:    This is a very high profile support role that has strategic and tactical elements requiring superb problem solving, communication, and planning skills. 

This position requires an IT Pro with a strong financial background who can come in to support US Equities and Equities Derivatives trading for > 3000 traders in a complex IT infrastructure. 

You will be responsible for monitoring, supporting and extending our distributed computing processes that handle millions of orders daily with hundreds of millions of dollars in notional exposure. 
You will handle the day to day monitoring and support of the data transfers to multiple clearing firms and trading partners. 
You will also be involved in business-driven changes aiming to improve the business processes in place and the associated production environment. 

• You will have a good working knowledge of Equities trading and Equity Derivatives knowledge (Essential) 
• SQL Server experience – Required 
• Distributed Computing – Required 
• Understanding of Market Data and Exchange Products - Required 
• Understanding of Order Types, Execution Algos, and Smart Order Routing Required 
• Networking - Basic Routing configuration & Multicast Troubleshooting - Required 
• Server Administration and Monitoring Experience- Required 
• Bachelors in hard sciences - math, engineering, computer science, and physics - Required 
• C# / .Net – A strong understanding of .NET applications is important but in a support, monitor, and testing role not development 
• C++ on Windows - A strong understanding c++ applications is important but in a support, monitor, and testing role not development 
• QA and Deployment Experience - Plus

Description:    The ideal person will be a seasoned solution architect with broad technical skills and experience with packaged software or custom development implementations as well as experience with CRM software (Salesforce, Siebel, MS, Clarify, NetSuite, etc.), The person should have hands-on experience with CRM technology and code, having performed code review, critical fixes, etc. This knowledge will be leveraged to perform CRM Strategy and Transformation engagements. 

Responsibilities: 

•Judges the tradeoffs with technology and feasibility and makes choices that fit the constraints of the project 

•Works directly with clients to lead projects, facilitates business process analysis sessions, develops and delivers key components of technology solution 

•Designs and has implemented business technology solutions focused on Salesforce.com, Microsoft, Pega or other CRM applications 

•Understands platform limitations and design alternatives to work around limitations 

•Identifies when business requirements conflict with technical capabilities 

•Performs advanced design and can apply Agile and SDLC development tasks 

•Direct involvement and/or oversight of developing business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, application configuration, blueprint, testing and deployment, integration and customer master data 

•Manages and liaises with CTI, IVR, ADM, Telephony infrastructure counterparts and understands these enterprise CRM components 

•Builds and monitors technical deliverables for consistent quality as well as compliance with standards 

•Confident and willing to challenge a customer and guide the customer towards the appropriate solution for their needs and push back if a customer is asking for solutions that aren't in their best interest 

•Ability to guide customer towards creative uses of standard Cloud software functionality to meet business requirements instead of simply relying on custom code solutions 

•Can function as leader within the organization and industry. Examples may include subject matter expert, Community leader, speaker at industry events 

•Participates actively in discussions, strong and confident communicator, can build a reputation as a go-to resource for the toughest problems 

•Provides presales support as requested and can work with proposal teams to drive over $2M in team sales 

•Partners with CSP team

•Demonstrates political savvy and establishes credibility with client management at the executive steering committee and Board of Directors levels (Relationship Management) 

•Contributes to engagements across practice disciplines on a national level due to recognized expertise in selected discipline (Leverage) 

•Leads major proposal efforts and creates strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts (Leverage) 

•Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel (Leadership) 

•Presents to large sized groups of key decision makers at the board level, national organizations and conferences; leads proposal orals and division and company-wide events; anticipates the interests, motivators and future needs of the audience and introduces relevant themes during the presentation (Communication) 

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications: 

•BS in Computer Science, Software engineering, MIS or Information Technology is preferable. 

•10-15 years’ experience, with at least 6-8 years architecture experience 

•2+ years in a Salesforce.com Technical Architecture role 

•8+ years project experience with packaged software or custom development implementations. 

•Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, Siebel, MS, NetSuite, etc.), 

•Consistent track record, with high marks from both Prospects/Customers and Internal Team members 

•Salesforce.com or Pega certification preferred 

•Strong delivery skills 

•Experience with proposals and pre-sales support, in addition to hands-on architecture and development experience 

•Strong leadership skills 

•Excellent communication skills 

Basic Qualifications 

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 

•Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 

•Ten or more years of consulting experience with technical architecture strategy and design 

•Experience working with Agile and SDLC methodologies 

•Experience working with various technical components to recommend an integrated technological approach to the business process 

Other Qualifications 

•Five to eight years of additional relevant experience in multiple technical specialty areas 

•Strong project management, project planning and estimating skills related to area of expertise 

•Strategic thinking skills 

•Strong negotiating skills
