Compensation:
$50.00 - $55.00 / Hour
Minimum Education:
Bachelors
Job Type: Contract
Jobcode:
TDHJA1

3-5 years solid SQL SERVER DBA 2008/2005/2000 version , in production and test regions

ResponsibilitiesL Take some of the responsibilities off the shoulders of the Data Architect in handling, current db performance issues, applications optimizations and table normalizations. Take a look at patches and install quickly to optimize and update version of SQL SERVER

In addition want some that can step into reading code, logical and physical db modeling, work with architect and analyst on reading created data maps and code to determine how much of the DW is in place , the “state” and content of code and talk with data owners to determine state, fit and current needs and what may need to be remediated and what may need to be planned for future implementations. At the end of this all they will need to draft a go forward project plan and high level road map for Enterprise Level DW.

NOTE: the DBA they have interviewed were more DB managers, applications DBA, not system performance DBAs as well as understanding impact on applications and DW build and development and “data”

They want it all in one person, they are willing to interview until they find the right “fit” , there is a degree of urgency in needing support ASAP but it does not outweigh finding the right person and the right fit
