Description:    Develop, modify, or update applications used by business units or infrastructure units. Lead, or play lead technical role in development teams' efforts to determine unit needs and business processes that are automated by the application. Assess high level design issues relating to platform, enterprise software, and interactions with other systems. 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS 
Provide design leadership in large or complex development projects involving application development, migrations, additions to existing applications. Participate in project meetings with other technical staff and business owners and subject matter experts. 

Assess and develop high level design requirements for project and communicate in writing or in meetings with development team. Assess detailed specifications against design requirements. 

Review application in progress of development to ensure compliance with overall design parameters and corporate development standards. Guide programmers/developers on technical issues. 

Develop or review development of test protocols for testing application before user acceptance. Review test results and direct further development. 

May serve as technical lead, architect, project lead or principle developer in course of large or complex project. 

May provide, or guide provision of technical support to applications currently in production. 

May mentor or guide work of less experienced programming and development staff. 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 

Hands-on experience in all layers of enterprise data architecture (TDS, ODS, EDW, Data Marts, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, Metadata, Master Data, Data Access and provisioning, Data Security and Data Governance) 

Knowledge of XML technologies (such as XSD/XSLT) 

Data integration and access patterns 

Service oriented architecture as it related to vending shared data 

Representation of architecture in relevant artifacts effectively and presentation of the same to varied audience ranging from developers to senior management 

Expertise in one or more of the architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, Zachman, Federal Enterprise Architecture etc 

Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree

Description:    Firm is building capabilities across the Content Supply Chain to offer consulting, IT architecture and design and custom development services to Information and Publishing companies in many industry segments. With the industry going through a digital transformation, the client wants to be seen as a thought leader and a most valuable partner to its Content Clients. 

Thus, the firm wants to hire a Content Architect to be based out of the US. 

Job Responsibilities: 
1. Build and run the content architecture and conversion segment within the Content space. Bring in SME knowledge in the field of information architecture. 
2. Design solutions and PoCs in content architecture, taxonomy and conversion tools. 
3. Play the lead role in solutioning aspects of RFPs/ client requests and in cost and effort estimations; Participate in client meetings and assist in SDLC process 
4. As part of the project team, play SME/ architect role in content projects - develop tools, platforms, libraries taking in Industry best practices and governance models 
5. Contribute to building the Content Strategy and design the Go-to-market approach. 
6. Participate in trade fairs, conferences and seminars to enhance market standing. 

Domain Skills: 
1. Post Graduate in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience of which a min of 6 years should have been in App development/ product implementation. Should have led a team of architects / conversion specialists with proven track record in designing and implementing content / information architecture in a leading publishing house. 
2. Excellent command over XML schemas, DTDs, XSLTs, etc. and familiarity in multiple formats viz. Word, PDF, OCR images, XML, NewsML, HTML, XHTML, EPUB, Docbook and tools like K4, Adobe systems, Quark etc. 
3. Knowledge of the end-to-end Publishing Life cycle, such as editorial workflows, web and print layout & pagination, graphics processing 

4. Experience in working in XML Editors like Arbortext, XML-Spy, XMetal, familiarity with Enterprise CMS and DAM systems and XML Databases especially MarkLogic. 
5. Good grasp of Tools, Products, Technologies, systems and architecture in this space 

Professional Skills: 
1. Achievement oriented and an ability to provide leadership ability to provide leadership and mentoring to a team of content architects and taxonomists. 
2. Articulate and excellent communication and presentation skills. 
3. Good interpersonal skills with ability to quickly and successfully build relationships a 
4. Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

Travel:
