Individual will be responsible for administering Charles River Development version 8, or upgraded, Compliance platform in administration of front-end, middle-tier, reporting tier and database within a fast paced technology environment. This position interacts with Sybase and Oracle Database Administrators on a daily basis for optimizing night cycle feeds. The SA set system parameters within a Fixed-Income Compliance environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Administer front-end, middle-tier, reporting and database of the CRD system
Oversee the user and group configuration and privileges.
Perform batch processing, data imports and nightly feeds to the CRD system.
Administration of stored queries, middle-tier services and windows builder
Diagnose and monitor performance of the CRD system.
Manage all aspects of software and hardware components.
Interact on a daily basis with Sybase and Oracle Database Administrators regarding all night cycle feeds.
Troubleshoot system hardware failures and escalate and drive resolution from IT Operations.
Troubleshoot and correct system software issues when possible.
Interact with Charles River Development for software and systems issues as they arise.
Administration of automated back up systems
Administer system and data access security processing
Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for the system.
Evaluate existing application products, which could address client requirements and develop recommendations where appropriate


Competencies:
5 to 10 years of hands on systems administration and related experience working with Charles River Development Compliance Technology.
Strong technical acumen at both macro and micro level with understanding of, or experience in, a fixed income management company or middle/back office environment highly desired.
Working knowledge and experience with investment mgmt technologies specific to financial services (e.g., asset mgmt., fixed income, etc.) w/focus on middle and back office systems and/or proprietary platforms; Charles River Development system required
Has general knowledge of asset management principles, domestic and international investment process Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices and procedures of the Compliance department and/or related business units (e.g., trade execution, settlements, etc.).
Demonstrated excellence in interacting with team members including Project Leads, Business Analysts, Database Administrators, Managers and Developers
Maintains a solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies
Excellent written and oral communication skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable to the business units participating in meetings, communicating needs and issues related to day to day functions.
Knowledge and exposure to Sybase and Oracle databases in relation to Charles River Development Compliance Systems

The Accounting Policy Director will have primary responsibility for ensuring that accounting policies and procedures are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Key responsibilities of this position consist of:

•Advises management on the proper application of generally accepted accounting principles related to new or unusual transactions.
•Partners with finance personnel throughout the organization to understand new products and/or strategies which require accounting interpretations.
•Monitors the development of new accounting standards at the FASB and briefs senior management on future changes to our accounting practices.
•Leads the accounting policy team in the implementation of new accounting standards and obtains consensus from management on implementation strategies.

Provides technical direction for the overall Field Service support for internal and external Associates computer needs. Tests new technology and provide proper documentation of experienced issues. Coordinates department/plan moves. Perform training for HelpDesk Technician and other departments on new software. Plans and deploys desktop and laptop software deployments with little or no supervision. Works with project teams to plan and deploy project-related hardware and software. Performs hands-on troubleshooting for standard desktop equipment and interviews Associates to collect information about problem. Leads Associates through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error. Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine and complex user problems.

This position is considered essential to operations and will be required to be available during any emergency. Additionally, the associate filling this position will be required to maintain an on-call status.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education
