Project Manager Role Overview: 

Administer the global project portfolio and release-level “book of work” for Repo IT’s trading and allied applicaions. Work with and global team of Repo IT management, business clients, developers team, and other IT stakeholders to prioritize, schedule, staff, and track all tasks in the book of work. Work collaboratively with the Repo IT team to identify and resolve project risks and issues. Work within mandated guidelines (such as SOX/GDSP) for project planning, management and execution. Apply and develop best practices to advance Repo IT’s project management capabilities (PMI/Prince2 etc). 

Drive successful design, development, quality assurance and deployment of repo IT’s projects and releases. Ensure transparency for Repo IT’s project management, by retaining and reporting project metrics. 

EXPERIENCE: 

Essential- Four or more years of experience leading application development projects in a Financial services environment. Understanding of Fixed income business. Hands on experience using a formalized project management methodology (e.g. SDLC, PMBOK, PRINCE, Agile PM, SCRUM, etc). Desirable- one or more years of experience working within regulatory compliance frameworks(e.g. SOX). Two or more years working hands-on in a product development environment. “Front Office” Trading system experience. 

SKILLSET: 

Essential – Project management and reporting. Microsoft Project, MS Office, Visio – ClearCase, SharePoint or other knowledge management tools. Desirable- Oracle and/or Sybase SQL – C#.net and/or Unix C++ messaging environments. Professional Qualities- Candidate must have attention to detail; have the ability to work independently and also as a part of a team; posess excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills; have a willingness to learn new skills and do whatever is necessary to ‘get the job done.’ Suitable candidates will be results-oriented, goal-driven self starters- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills in dealing within IT and providing support to end users. Able to perform in a high pressure and highly dynamic environment. Highly analytical, pro-active and detail oriented. Demonstrates professional development. Education – Baccalaureate in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline required – Project management certification (PMP, CAPM or other) desirable.

Develop, test, maintain and enhance Repo IT’s portfolio of applications. Develop, test and maintain interfaces between Repo IT’s applications and other entities. Work with business analysts to understand user requirements Support the Quality Assurance team in the management and remediation of software defects Adhere to software development standards, procedures and techniques Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, quality assurance and other team members Ability to participate and represent the development function in the development and project lifecycles Gain understanding of the client's Repo business Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally The candidate will be exposed to the complete software development lifecycle and will be expected to work with business analysts and from functional specifications to implement the solution and oversee deployment. Global scope of Repo’s applications and the Repo IT team requires occasional night and weekend work. 

Qualifications: 

Five or more years of experience as a developer with three or more years of hands-on extensive C#.net experience. Experience of multi-threaded programming and debugging Remoting. Socket programming Messaging middleware, pref. JMS" Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment is essential. Candidate must have attention to detail; have the ability to work independently and also as part of a group; possess excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills; have a willingness to learn new skills and do whatever is necessary to "get the job done". Suitable candidates will be results-oriented, goal-driven self-starters. Highly analytical, pro-active and detail oriented. Demonstrates professional development. B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline Fixed Income/trading experience preferred, Repo experience is a plus.

Salary PLUS large bonus. 

This will be at a Sr. Manager level and could be upgraded to V.P. for the right person. Essentially, this is a very Sr. BA with exposure to Business Objects and/or related reporting tools. Work experience related to some combination of reference data, master data management, and data warehousing. 

will be instrumental in the implementation and adoption of the Program’s Data Repository (PDR). The PDR, which functions as the definitive source of reference data for the Enterprise Program, encompasses 19 distinct data domains including Account, Business Area, Company, Geography, and Product. Responsibilities will include gathering business requirements, liaising with development teams to ensure proper implementation, coordinating various data quality and IT resources, working through data quality issues and ensuring the Remediation tool suite is expanding to meet client needs. More specifically, this person will ensure that the Enterprise Program’s applications, systems and reports have the appropriate data they need to meet their business requirement, that the PDR supplies this data in a timely manner and that we are effectively leveraging the Remediation suite to meet these needs. To foster success in this role, the Project Manager will require a balanced mixture of project management skills, background in data driven requirements and business
