QA Engineer - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $80K - $90K / Year

* 3 to 5 years of experience in software QA/testing.
* Demonstrable and current hands-on automation experience is a must QTP preferable).
* Experience in QA as applied to Java applications, and networking.
* Very strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills.
* Refined proficiency at precise written and verbal communications.
* Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle:
Specification/Design/Implementation/Testing/Release.
* Experience with and understanding of databases (Oracle, SQL).
* Strong experience in UNIX environments (especially Linux). Must be comfortable using standard UNIX utilities to do testing and
identify issues.
* Familiarity with development tools such as SVN would be a plus.
* Strong working knowledge of software build and release management
processes such as maintaining QA environment would be a plus.
* Self-motivated, dynamic, organized, and responsible, team player
* Financial Software Experience (Equities, FIX protocol, OMS,
Connectivity) is highly desirable.
* Automation of FIX messages is highly desirable.
* Some Perl and/or Java programming experience would be a plus.
