Description:   
Design, develop and maintain applications.
Needs experience designing back-end Java based-architectures to support millions of daily transactions.
 
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy Java based applications.
- Provide architectural input to project-related decisions.
- Function as a team lead, working closely with the engineering lead to coordinator activities for a small team.
- Define systems that include both hardware and software components.
- Work independently with minimum supervision and a geographically dispersed team.
- Use industry best practices to deliver high quality code. Requirements:
- 5 years of software development with 5 years of Java coding experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Java, Maven or Ant JUnit, IntelliJ, or Eclipse JIRA/Redmine/SVN (or equivalent) MySql (or equivalent) Hibernate Spring
- Experience with Agile testing methodologies including test-driven development
- Experience working within Scrum and Agile
 
Plusses: - JBoss or Jetty, Linux shell scripting, JMS
- Deep experience with MySql (or equivalent) with performance tuning experience
- Experience with scaling infrastructure to support large-scale systems, including applications, databases, message queues, and caching strategies.
- Experience building a platform for aggregating and analyzing data from millions of transactions a day.
- Apache Solr/Lucene - Large volume XML, JSON and HTML parsers and generators
- Perl, GIT, RSS/ATOM, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ
- Experience building web crawlers
- Big Data: Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra

Requirements:
 
 
Minimum of 3-5+ years of collaboration software experience with SharePoint (2010 and/or 2013 platforms); experience with analytics tools
 
Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience managing and implementing intranets
 
Successful launch of intranet project on large scale basis
 
Demonstrated project management skills and experience
 
Understanding of common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript
 
Understanding and interest in intranet trends and best practice - what is happening in the market place.
 
Bachelor's degree in appropriate field required, master's degree preferred
 
driving all the processes related to intranet site design, usability framework, user interface, rollout to the workforce and the overall implementation. This role is not only responsible for defining the strategic direction of a social collaboration intranet site, but plays a critical role in planning, managing and executing strategic internal communications.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
 
For all stages of the intranet's redesign development, the selected candidate will have responsibility for the overall visual design, site navigation, site content, engagement and training of users, coordination with key stakeholders, governance and oversight of the technology.
 
 
He/she will develop and execute strategies for employee communication tools and oversee management of the intranet and other internal vehicles, while continuously looking for innovative delivery methods to improve communication effectiveness.
 
Work together with a selected vendor:
 
Lead efforts to create and maintain a sound information architecture and coordinate creation of a visual design and theme for the intranet
 
Lead content migration
 
Determine success criteria and how to measure it using web analytics tools
 
Change management as we move to the more user-interactive SharePoint 2010 platform
 
Provide introductions and training to users of all different levels (information seekers, content owners)
 
Oversee and assess the quality of work by the selected agency vendor.
 
Champion the platform - this person should get others motivated to collaborate
 
Drive engagement: Interaction with users and stakeholders across the organization
 
Monitor site analytics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
 
Define governance process related to content management.
 
Partner with other members of the Communications team to plan and execute additional internal communication activities
