The Development Lead must: 
§ Possess 7-10 years of professional experience within the financial services industry, with most of this time focused on the analysis, design, development, testing and production support of Web-based, finance-oriented applications. A bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or related field is highly desirable. 
§ Possess strong "Hands-On" development skills using J2EE technologies and Core Java, Oracle, MS SQL Server, XML, Web Services technologies. 
§ Possess strong Application and Design experience using UML. In-depth experience and expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns, Application Frameworks (AJAX, MVC etc.), implementing solutions based on Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) principles. 
§ Strong knowledge of database modeling principles, techniques and best practices. 

§ Experience in developing project plans, requirements, design documents, and test plan 
§ Able to independently architect solutions, lead code reviews and ensure quality throughout the life of each project. 
§ Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, analytical and organizational skills. 
§ Possess 3-5 years of experience managing development and support teams spanning multiple continents and time zones. Experience with offshore development centers (ODCs) is essential. 
§ Aptly manage day-to-day interactions and relationships with a diverse group of colleagues. 
§ Put people at ease when necessary and instill a high degree of trust quickly and genuinely. 

§ Manage day-to-day development and support of the core platform. In this capacity, the Development Lead will oversee a couple of associates and contractors. Team members will span continents, with some in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and the balance in Bangalore and Chennai, India. 
§ Ensuring application performance, scalability and resiliency via deep technical expertise and ongoing interaction with architecture, infrastructure and performance-tuning partners. Where appropriate, the Development Lead will incorporate proposed standards 
§ Communicating frequently with key stakeholders − including the management teams in Sales Technology, Research Technology, Research Operations − re: platform strategy, system architecture, application development and production support.

Rate would be a little less on a W-2 

Flex Developer who will work on developing an internal digital supply chain system as part of the company's eBook strategy. The ideal candidate will have 7 plus years experience in software development with at least 2 years using Flex and 3 plus years using ColdFusion. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Develop a new digital supply chain web portal for internal users using Flex RIA technology 
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC 
• Lead web developer on Flex development using ColdFusion as middleware solution to connect to SQL Server database 
• Work closely with Application Manager, UX Designer, and DBA to integrate back-end systems with the front end user experience 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications 

• Minimum 7 years commercial software development experience 
• Three or more years hands-on ActionScript experience. 
• Two or more years hands-on Flex development experience 
• Three or more years ColdFusion experience 
• Cooperative and enthusiastic team player with excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Knowledge of multiple technologies, including: Flex, AIR, Flash, ActionScript, ColdFusion, Java, SOAP, Web Services, MXML, XML, XHTML, AJAX, and XML 
• Database driven programming, preferably with T-SQL 
• Experience using Flash Remoting or Blaze DS 
• Familiarity with Object Oriented design principles 
• A solid understanding of current Web Standards 
• Ability to deliver efficient code and functionality that match functional specs and provided wireframes
