Client is looking for an experienced Microsoft Desktop Management and Optimization professional with a passion for, and in-depth experience in, designing, building, deploying and supporting large world-class enterprise-level Microsoft desktop solutions.
This position will include responsibility for:
Providing pre-sales, post sales and implementation services for clients
Providing senior technical leadership through all project stages for small and large scale desktop management deployments, migrations, virtualization and core infrastructure deployment utilizing the latest Microsoft technologies
Requirements:
Windows desktop deployment, migration assessment, design & implementation.
Architect Team Lead with experience in the following:
· Consultancy, Vendor or large Enterprise experience
· MS Windows Server 2003/2008, MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
· Windows XP / Vista Image Deployment / Business Desktop Deployment (BDD)
· Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) experience required
· Knowledge of MS security (Patch Management)
· Expertise with SCCM/SMS and SCOM/MOM, including requirements assessment, design, proofs of concept, pilot implementations, and troubleshooting
· Some expertise with application packaging for SCCM/SMS deployment, including a familiarity with MSI and WISE Install Suite
· Knowledge of application virtualization solutions such as Microsoft Application Virtualization (SoftGrid)
· Experience with automated deployment methodologies (e.g., ZTI) and application packaging / distribution
· Proficiency with scripting languages, multiple packaging / deployment applications, and distribution methods
· Experience with MS application compatibility toolkit (ACT 5) and similar Vista tools.
· Experience with Altiris or Landesk would be a plus
