Assignment through the end of the year 

Responsibilities: 
* Conceptualizes immediate and long-range needs of Department/SBU with respect to project mission. Must understand business objectives as they relate to project goals. 
* Translates Department/SBU needs into a comprehensive project plan which ensures successful project completion. 
* May negotiate projects objectives and direction with Director, Special Projects and Managers of such departments as Information Technology, Corporate Research, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales, Legal, and Human Resources. 
* May act as the project lead for in various departments and divisions to ensure the completion of work in a timely and efficient manner. 
* Negotiates with external agencies/organizations such as law firms, State insurance departments regarding sensitive and/or complex issues.
* Implements project methodologies and best practices for Individual Life. 
* Develops, implements and manages integrated project, resource and milestone reporting. 
* Provides PMO support. 
* Makes presentations regarding project direction and recommendations to Senior Leadership Team and Managers. 

Skills: 

* Graduate degree in related field or equivalent training or professional project management certification required. 
* Minimum of 5 years progressively more responsible experience in a project management environment with exposure to project planning, simulation, modeling, capital budgeting, cost benefit analysis and information technology development required. 
* Strong negotiation skills also required.
