Description:    Customer has identified Metro Ethernet and Cell Backhaul services as a key area of growth. This individual will be a primary stakeholder in making critical decisions on Commercial Metro Ethernet and Cell Back Haul service products, specializing in access layer technologies.
This individual must have hands on experience on MEF certified platforms and IP/MPLS network to be able to make key contribution on product, CPE, and edge platform selection and technology roadmap development.
This position requires in depth knowledge of MEF specification and the individual must be familiar with key technology trends in the Metro Ethernet Service industry.
The individual would play an SME role across the Commercial Services matrix organization and provide timely update on network products to network architects, field engineers, business units and operations on platform specification, choices and roadmap through detailed test and inter-op reports. The individual is expected to be detail oriented, articulate and process oriented with a “can do attitude”.

Capabilities:
· Design and administration of multiple network products on large networks in production business, and carrier environments
· Design of carrier network products for national ISP.
· Knowledge of advanced routers utilizing complex routing tables, running RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS (LDP,RSVP-TE).
· Knowledge of various CPE products including Cable Modems, Ciena , Juniper, and Cisco edge and aggregation devices
· Experience running BGP in a production carrier environment with multi-protocol extensions. Configuration of switches and bridges utilizing multiple flavors of spanning tree, 802.1Q, 802.1ad, LACP, Ethernet OAM, and CFM(including Y.1731).
· Experience delivering business value by creating network products in national production environments.
· Experience in implementing and automating BSS and OSS systems for network products
· Experience in engineering product delivery methods and procedures.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in EE or CS or equivalent work experience required.
· Hands on experience in product test and qualification of MEF & TDM/ IETF PWE3
· Familiar with large scale Cisco and Juniper based IP/MPLS networks
· Familiarity with Metro Ethernet Form certification and other standards like IEEE, ITU, IETF, OIF, and Cable Labs
· Proven experience working with service provider networks in a technical lead capacity for metro Ethernet product or platform.
· Ability to create complex collaborative technical documents
· Experience working on network monitoring and service level reporting solutions
· Experience in defining capacity planning and OAM requirements
· Familiarity with optical network and design principles
· Work experience in Cable or Service Provider environment is also desirable.
· 5+ years of experience working on complex, innovative projects
