Maintain, administer, and program our Warehouse Management Systems developed by HighJump Software. The position includes software maintenance and support, database management, programming enhancements, and monitoring system resources and response times to maintain operating efficiency.

Write or modify SQL scripts, perform troubleshooting to resolve production and performance problems, correct identified problems, automate systems administration tasks, maintain system documentation and logs, and design workflows and procedures.

Must be able to possess or gain a high level understanding of overall system operation and architecture including interfaces with related systems such as PeopleSoft and WebShip, as well as distribution center business processes and procedures.

Technical coding of HighJump DCA for PeopleSoft Inventory implementations, including enhancements for existing deployments. Create reports using Crystal Reports. Development with HighJump Page Editor and Advantage Architect.

Under general guidance develop/design systems based on knowledge of requirements, company processes and activities. Work with other departments to add new features to existing programs and systems. Manage RF Hardware in order and the connection of various model RF Scanners.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in computer information systems, computer science, or an engineering discipline required.
5 to 10 years IT experience in roles of increasing responsibility.
3 years minimum experience managing the implementation of WMS (warehouse management systems) software packages.

1 year minimum experience with HighJump programming.

Experienced in full life cycle of software development: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. Solid business analysis experience including requirements gathering, translating requirements into functional specifications. Experience with database structure and design in Oracle; technology architectures including, networks, communications and operating systems.

HighJump WMS or DCA, including Advantage Architect and WebWise, Crystal Reports, and Loftware. ERP knowledge with emphasis on PeopleSoft a plus. Knowledge of Oracle database versions, and PL/SQL skills required.

Primary Responsibilities

 

Work with project managers to prepare project proformas and budgets;

Work with legal and financial officers to monitor contracts and execution of payments;

Track pay requisitions, requests for information, change orders and schedules;

Author detailed budget progress reports, variance reports and cash flow reports;

Work with Project Managers to evaluate and negotiate change orders;

Essential Functions Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of a major project or in a total project system of moderate scope.
May carry out complex or novel research assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
Promotes and implements process improvements company-wide. May write product standard design guidelines.
Provides direct support of sales and development by sharing information in the form of major/complex proposals and design reviews.
Independently writes and performs complex component tests.
Manage customers, suppliers, and in-house personnel to meet technical specifications, schedules and cost commitments on development projects.

Lead system engineering team which has responsibility for supplier design components and works with multiple internal development engineering teams.

Manage technical aspects of the system:
Retrieval and Negotiation of Overall System Requirements
System Requirements allocation to system elements
System Integration design, performance stack-up, coordination, test and reporting
System Certification (V&V) coordination and documentation

Must be willing to travel. Travel can be up to 20% of the job. Some international travel.

Experience Greater than 8 years in related field required, including post-graduate experience.
Knowledge of harnessing and electromechanical sensors such as resolvers, hall-effect devices, LVDT's, RVDT's, variable reluctance (speed) sensors, RDT's, Delta Pressure Switches and Permanent Magnet Alternators, dc motors and solenoids a plus.
